Received back to back phone calls around midnight. No message. The part I find odd is that everyone seems to be on t-mobile but I am actually on AT&T so there's no reason t-mobile should be calling me.

I received back to back phone calls from this number, no messages were left. It was at freaking midnight. I don't even have t-mobile... I have AT&T.

PS:  Oops, I just saw Barry's comment from August 2013 saying that he tried calling the #206-313-0004 & it said it was disconnected, so I just tried calling it as well, & sure enough, it said it IS disconnected.  So evidently it WAS a # that T-Mobile used to use for Text Messages since it IS the # inside my Settings from Day-1 when I bought the Nokia back in 2008.  So I have no idea what # T-Mobile is using CURRENTLY to get text msgs & emails to me, even though that old #206 is still inside my settings!  But I did/do receive text msgs/email-mgs no problem.  So go figure!

(I do not get an Itemized Bill for the Pay-As-You-Go T-Mo plan since it is pay as you go!  Hence, I've never seen the #206 on an actual bill.  I only see it INSIDE the Nokia Messaging Center Settings on the phone itself as the Default for T-Mobile Messaging Center!)

Today is 2/8/2014 & the "mystery" of #206-313-0004 is SOLVED:

Back in 2008 I bought a cheapie little T-Mobile Pay-As-You-Go Nokia-phone from Walmart.  The T-Mo Pay-As-You-Go plan came with that phone.  Still using it as a secondary phone #.  With that plan, you can send/receive text msgs for 10-cents each, & to send/receive PICTURE msgs it is 25-cents each.  Fine with me since it is not my main phone, just a backup, which is rarely used, but great to have a secondary phone # for emergencies, etc.  You simply fill it with $$ as often as you want/need.  (I only put $50-$100 in it PER YEAR.  Fantastic!  Cheap!)

Here's the point re the #206-313-0004:  Inside the MESSAGING SETTINGS on that old phone, "Message Settings" > "Text Messages" > "Message Centers" > In there are 2 choices, you can choose T-MOBILE's MESSAGE CENTER which shows the #206-313-0004 as the DEFAULT!!! -- OR you can "Add a Center" (which I don't know how to do, so I've never added another Text Messaging Center name nor #).

So whenever you send/receive text messages on a T-Mo phone, that #206-313-0004 is obviously the one they use as a DEFAULT.  I just zapped myself an email to text msg with photo to that old Nokia & it showed up just fine, so it still works.  AND I AM  NOT "out of the country."  I zapped the email-to-text msg. in the Same State USA where I bought the Nokia, but am now in a different Area Code of the same State. Not sure if that matters.

So everyone can STOP ALL THE PANIC re that #206-313-0004, as it is obviously a T-MOBILE Text Messaging Center #!  Hope this helps!

Been reading your posts and sure does seem like alot of women with this # on their mans phone? I found this # +12063130004 as Service Center # for his t-mobile phone.  The Voi.cemail # he has was weird to me +18056377243.

when i looked in my Net10 cell phone I found a Message Center phone number +12063130004. I am not receiving my text messages so I thought I'd call this #, which I did. You guessed it a recording saying this # is disconnected or no longer in service. So what is going on? Sounds like my texts are being rerouted to another # and then someone is charging those #s for the text I should of received. I pay anywhere from .5 to 1.0 to read each text. Do they charge more for rerouted #s? What gives?

This is the central routing number for SMS messages on T-Mobile's US network. It's programmed into most phone/SIMs that are from T-Mobile, or one of their MVNO partners. You may find it buried in your phone settings as "Message Center", and is similiar to the data connection's APN (Access Point Name), but for text messages.

Depending on your plan you may be charged for both incomming and outgoing SMS text messages, some may appear to originate or route through this number.

Most networks permit you to email to an SMS gateway, the address is a combination of your phone number @ the carrier, try sending an SMS from your phone to your email address to see what this is. If someone knows how this address is formed they can spam email to the phone, so FYI

my messages cannot be sent because my message centre number must be 447958879879 but instead it is 12063130004! i cant send or recieve messages and i have no idea how to change this number! please help i am a tmobile customer

I noticed this too when I had roamed on At&t network. it's also listed in my messages settings. can't change it, but I doubt of why anyone who is on the t-mobile network would.

Two days ago I discovered under my text settings a number 206-671-0004. When I called it, a person sounding hesitant to answer the phone said hello.  This was not a business number but was reported as a land-line. I only told him briefly that I was calling him because his number was on my phone.  I was little nervous and hung up; not very good at confrontation.

However, the next morning I called back and a recorded message said it was disconnected or no longer in service.Only two days later the number is back! Only the prefix has changed to 313.   #206-313-0004.
When I tried calling this number it dials and then cuts off. This number shows up under my text message settings. Initially I just assumed this was a service number for T-Mobile or Best Buy.

For the record, my last two phones were programed by store employees at Best Buy in Bellingham. Anyone else?  Both my phones would have echos, delayed texts, and a beep like my phone was being recorded just before the other party picked up.

I am a single mom going back to school full time. One of my children has a life threatening condition and these consistent phone interruptions are creating unnecessary worry and concern. If anyone with the nohow to find out who is impeding on our privacy I would be very grateful to you! Sincerely, upset mom.

I do know it is extremely illegal to reroute other peoples phone numbers, I hope this website is true. Thank-you.

This started happening to me also, only after I started using this extremely cheap T Mobile Nokia from Rite Aid.  What's the deal??

In this day and age T-Mobile claims that they can NOT universally block numbers that are spamming MANY of their customers.  The only option they offer is to block ALL text messages to individual numbers, making it impossible for your family and friends to reach you!  Does anyone know of another service provider who prevents this?  I'd like to switch asap!

two of my phones (both are over seas in Argentina and turned off) sent many texts to this number that is disconnected.  the phones are turned off.  I will be calling T-Mobile today.  those were the only calls/texts made by the phones.

I am urging everyone to cancel their Tmobile account immediately. This is absolutely ridiculous. I never send text messages yet my bill shows I've sent many texts to (206) 313-0004. If I haven't sent any text messages to begin with, why am I being charged?  I looked back on pervious bills and now found that I've been charged every month for these messages. They are taking advantage of us in hopes that we will not look at our bill. They were lucky with me, I rarely check my bill but I happened to take a look this month, thank god! We cannot let these companies take advantage of us. We deserve to be with a company that we can trust.

i just checked my phone bill and saw that i had over 100 outgoing messages from this number. i called it to see who it was and i even text it, then i found this site... i think its rediculous that they would do that. its not costing me anything because i have unlimited messaging, but i think its rediculous that other people have to pay for this.

Just a 2 texts from this number as well, and dumba** me, I texted back, thinking it was friend messing w/my head. I'll be contact t-Mobile RIGHT NOW TO GET THE BOTTOM OF THIS.  And I'll probably be trying to see if they will dimiss the charges from my bill.

I am so glad I looked this number up. My husband had like 30 texts from them in the wee morning hours and I was pissed. Thanks for posting all this. We really should do something about this. It has almost caused too many relationship problems and this could be serious.

I noticed text messages on my son's phone and asked him why he was writing someone in another state.  He assured me he had not done so.  Then, I googled the cell phone number, just to see if it was some sort of phone virus.  After finding this site, I checked all of our T-mobile phones for texting to 206-313-0004.  My husband's phone and my son's phone have both been doing it for months!  I am so shocked.  What is being transmitted from our phones???????

I had the same incident with that same number coming from Seattle WA. My husband called T-Mobile and they said that is there tower they use when we are roaming, So hopefully that answers your questions
