Received back to back phone calls around midnight. No message. The part I find odd is that everyone seems to be on t-mobile but I am actually on AT&T so there's no reason t-mobile should be calling me.

I received back to back phone calls from this number, no messages were left. It was at freaking midnight. I don't even have t-mobile... I have AT&T.

PS:  Oops, I just saw Barry's comment from August 2013 saying that he tried calling the #206-313-0004 & it said it was disconnected, so I just tried calling it as well, & sure enough, it said it IS disconnected.  So evidently it WAS a # that T-Mobile used to use for Text Messages since it IS the # inside my Settings from Day-1 when I bought the Nokia back in 2008.  So I have no idea what # T-Mobile is using CURRENTLY to get text msgs & emails to me, even though that old #206 is still inside my settings!  But I did/do receive text msgs/email-mgs no problem.  So go figure!

(I do not get an Itemized Bill for the Pay-As-You-Go T-Mo plan since it is pay as you go!  Hence, I've never seen the #206 on an actual bill.  I only see it INSIDE the Nokia Messaging Center Settings on the phone itself as the Default for T-Mobile Messaging Center!)

Today is 2/8/2014 & the "mystery" of #206-313-0004 is SOLVED:

Back in 2008 I bought a cheapie little T-Mobile Pay-As-You-Go Nokia-phone from Walmart.  The T-Mo Pay-As-You-Go plan came with that phone.  Still using it as a secondary phone #.  With that plan, you can send/receive text msgs for 10-cents each, & to send/receive PICTURE msgs it is 25-cents each.  Fine with me since it is not my main phone, just a backup, which is rarely used, but great to have a secondary phone # for emergencies, etc.  You simply fill it with $$ as often as you want/need.  (I only put $50-$100 in it PER YEAR.  Fantastic!  Cheap!)

Here's the point re the #206-313-0004:  Inside the MESSAGING SETTINGS on that old phone, "Message Settings" > "Text Messages" > "Message Centers" > In there are 2 choices, you can choose T-MOBILE's MESSAGE CENTER which shows the #206-313-0004 as the DEFAULT!!! -- OR you can "Add a Center" (which I don't know how to do, so I've never added another Text Messaging Center name nor #).

So whenever you send/receive text messages on a T-Mo phone, that #206-313-0004 is obviously the one they use as a DEFAULT.  I just zapped myself an email to text msg with photo to that old Nokia & it showed up just fine, so it still works.  AND I AM  NOT "out of the country."  I zapped the email-to-text msg. in the Same State USA where I bought the Nokia, but am now in a different Area Code of the same State. Not sure if that matters.

So everyone can STOP ALL THE PANIC re that #206-313-0004, as it is obviously a T-MOBILE Text Messaging Center #!  Hope this helps!

Been reading your posts and sure does seem like alot of women with this # on their mans phone? I found this # +12063130004 as Service Center # for his t-mobile phone.  The Voi.cemail # he has was weird to me +18056377243.
Ladies keeping up with them is getting harder everyday. I want to trust him, but all the crazy #'s.  Check out a # I saw on his bill, led me go this site.

when i looked in my Net10 cell phone I found a Message Center phone number +12063130004. I am not receiving my text messages so I thought I'd call this #, which I did. You guessed it a recording saying this # is disconnected or no longer in service. So what is going on? Sounds like my texts are being rerouted to another # and then someone is charging those #s for the text I should of received. I pay anywhere from .5 to 1.0 to read each text. Do they charge more for rerouted #s? What gives?

SMS
This is the central routing number for SMS messages on T-Mobile's US network. It's programmed into most phone/SIMs that are from T-Mobile, or one of their MVNO partners. You may find it buried in your phone settings as "Message Center", and is similiar to the data connection's APN (Access Point Name), but for text messages.

Depending on your plan you may be charged for both incomming and outgoing SMS text messages, some may appear to originate or route through this number.

Most networks permit you to email to an SMS gateway, the address is a combination of your phone number @ the carrier, try sending an SMS from your phone to your email address to see what this is. If someone knows how this address is formed they can spam email to the phone, so FYI

Two days ago I discovered under my text settings a number 206-671-0004. When I called it, a person sounding hesitant to answer the phone said hello.  This was not a business number but was reported as a land-line. I only told him briefly that I was calling him because his number was on my phone.  I was little nervous and hung up; not very good at confrontation.

However, the next morning I called back and a recorded message said it was disconnected or no longer in service.Only two days later the number is back! Only the prefix has changed to 313.   #206-313-0004.
When I tried calling this number it dials and then cuts off. This number shows up under my text message settings. Initially I just assumed this was a service number for T-Mobile or Best Buy.

For the record, my last two phones were programed by store employees at Best Buy in Bellingham. Anyone else?  Both my phones would have echos, delayed texts, and a beep like my phone was being recorded just before the other party picked up.

I am a single mom going back to school full time. One of my children has a life threatening condition and these consistent phone interruptions are creating unnecessary worry and concern. If anyone with the nohow to find out who is impeding on our privacy I would be very grateful to you! Sincerely, upset mom.

I do know it is extremely illegal to reroute other peoples phone numbers, I hope this website is true. Thank-you.

My wife had 13 text messages (sent) to (206) 313-0004 in our latest bill from T-Mobile. We don't know anyone from that area code, but we were charged 35 cents per message. The T-Mobile rep argued that my wife texted those messages to that number and that there's nothing he can do. It seems like T-Mobile reps always have identical answers when someone (a customer) complains about text messages they did not make that appear on their bill: (1) you let your friends borrow your cell phone or (2) you must have left your cell phone and others (friends) used it to text the messages. T-Mobile is the worst cellular carrier in the U.S. today. We don't even get any signal from our own house! Which means we cannot make calls or receive calls.

I received a text message from some idiot at (763) 229-8232 saying simply "Dork." The message center was (206) 313-0004. Maybe some dumb kid with too much time on his hands just dinking around. Still p*$$es me off, though.

I called Tmobile due to conceren about this issue.Having unlimited texts it does not affect me but I still think it's bu***hit for others. They told me they are going to investigate the number and see where the problem is. So maybe the next person who calls with the same issue wont have such a hard time, geting the charges reversed. I also informed them of this site and the multiple complaints about that number.Sorry for anyone who had to pay for that s**t.

OK I just got off the phone after basically demanding to know where these texts were going to and here's what the rep told me.  When you're roaming (when you're mooching off of another network like ATT or suncom) and send a text it comes up on your T Mobile bill from the text service provider.  So its your regular texts but it just listed from the service provider.

We also had this number on our corporate statement. I called TM and was told it's their service center number and that all roaming text messages show that number because you have to dial that first to get to the network. They showed me that if you look in your phone under SMS-options-service center, that number does indeed display. I also just confirmed this with someone who is currently roaming overseas. So relax, folks, it's not a scam.

I was abroad for 2 weeks and brought the company phone with me to use while I was there. Shortly after I got back I was hit with this rediculous bill by my manager showing 131 text messages to this 313-0004 phone number (all outgoing, no incoming!). While I did send a few text messages while there, I certainly didn't do that many, and most of the time I was there I was using a pay-as-you-go SIM card in the phone that I bought there. Most of these reported text messages occurred while I had the other SIM card in or the phone was turned off.
This was also T-Mobile.

i'm confirming the roaming explanation. my boyfriend is in canada right now, and every text he sent or received showed up as a sent message to that number. because he's internationally roaming, he has to go through another carrier, and that's the number of the carrier. lucky for him, he has unlimited texts. so it doesn't affect him.

My father is getting these charges, and we know for a fact that they are on his "skiing days"  when he is in and out of the service area as he drives through the mountians.  I have identified 3 of these texts to be happening simultaniously with a call that he is making.  For him they all occur on the days he goes to a specific mountain, and on no other days or funky times.  A little creepy in that it is almost like having a stalker.  I happen to be married to a man that deals with phone and internet stuff for the government, and his suggested answer is that the phone is reaching out for a service signal, and the T-mobile system is recieving the "searching for service"  attempt as a text sent to the service center.  Check your bills, and your dates of travel.  Complain about a problem with the company's ability to keep texts and signal searches seperated.

here's what I found out about my T-mobile service concerning the (206)313-0004 number.  I found this after investigating a way to Block or Remove text messaging service.  Anyway, go to your messages menu on your phone, select 'message settings'.  Under the 'Sending Profile' you will see a 'message center number' displayed.  The one displayed on my phone reads, you guessed it (206) 313-0004!  I have no idea what/why this number is for, but I removed this number and it appears to have worked for blocking text messaging feature, both incoming and outgoing. I through with paying for text messaging that I do not need .

I am a lawyer in Washington state working on the case McGinnis, Trolf, and Johnson v. T-Mobile USA, No. C 08-106-TSZ (W.D. Wash.).  The plaintiffs allege that T-Mobile charged them - and they paid - undisclosed roaming rates for voicemail message notifications and unanswered calls while traveling outside the U.S.  The complaint is for breach of contract and deceptive practices, among other things.  If you have any information about this alleged practice, please contact me at cliff.cantor@gmail.com.  Thank you.
