caller stated looking for for business owner in reference to legal proceedings then pressures for private info about you or your company before revealing details about "lawsuit".

Repeated sales calls, even after requesting not to be called (do-not call list).  Very rude!  We got toll free number - 866-987-3073 - and call them to request removal from call list.  Hung up on, cussed at, etc.  I finally got through to someone going by the name of Marshall Steven, and requested our number be removed.  He threatened a law suit against me for harrasment.  As of this morning, they continue to call.

I got the same call today, a man called my place of buisness and asked for the owner I told him that he was bussy in the shop at the moment if I could take a message, he said no I will call back later. I called the number on my caller I.D and it was a disconected number.I the called our local telephone company to see if they could find out any information on this number and they told me that it was unlisted. GO FIGURE.

Got the same call from Mr. Rude Dude...demanding to speak to the owner or controller of company...I told him "No" and I think this shocked him because he said, "Excuse me, what did you say?". I told him that they were busy on job sites and I could take a message if he would be so kind to identify himself and the company he was calling with....he didn't like that answer very well. He sat and argued with me for a few minutes before I hung up on him. This A-hole had the nerve to call right back and ask me why I hung up on him and why I was rude to him...ohhh that did it..I laid into him....Now today we had a call from a lady at that same number...I wasn't able to answer the phone but I can't wait til I get another chance to!!!

Rude dude called our office today and asked for controller/owner.  I told him he was out of the office and offered to take a message.  He just hung up on me.

I saw this number on caller ID and attempted to call him back to find out what business it was.  When it was disconnected I googled the number and came up with this.

If this dude is truly a debt collector then he is a complete idiot!  I don't know how in the world they expect to collect a debt if all they do is hang up on you after finding out that the owner is out of the office AND have a phoney caller ID number!

This man just called our office, was very rude said he was conducting an ivestigation and wanted to talk to the owner.  An employee of our company said he was very rude and when he asked for HIS phone number and name, Rude Dude hung up.  Caller Id brought me to here.  Thanks Google.

I also received a call asking for "owner or comptroller".  Asked who she was. She responded Joseph, Stevens & Associates.  I asked who she WAS.  She said, "You asked me and I gave you a direct answer!  Are you the owner?"  Who are you? "I answered you!" We volleyed back and forth way too long before she hung up on me.  I *69'd to find out who she was and got same response as all above.  They must have forwarded numbers.

He just called me.  Asked to speak to the owner or controller about an investigation.  I said, 'I need more information than that'.  He hung up.

Female caller asked to speak to owner or comptroller. I asked if I could help or take a message.  She said no it was an investigation. I asked about what, she couldn't tell me, but mentioned something about accounts payable.  She said she would call back,and hung up.

I had exactly the same experience today as everyone on this blog.It was definitely a Black American male voice. Very rude, very loud. So I got ruder and louder. He hung up. I also tried to call back that number and only got a busy signal. He's dealing with the wrong person here.

Just got a call from a gal (sounded young) wanting to talk to the owner about a financial investigation.  I asked if it was a sales call, she just asked if the owner was in.  I put her on hold and she hung up.  Can't they find these people?  Someone, somewhere will fall for this and it is sad!!

VERY SAME TYPE OF PHONE CALL.  ASKED FOR OWNER REGARDING AN INVESTIGATION.  I TOLD HIM "OWNER WOULD NOT BE IN TODAY", YET HE HAS CALLED BACK TODAY 2 MORE TIMES.  WHEN I ASKED ABOUT TAKING A MESSAGE HE HANGS UP. VERY RUDE MAN.

Wanted to speak to owner. I said can I take a message. He said no I'll try later.  When I said the owner does not take unidentified calls he hung up. (in Lincoln, NE)

just passed all the info on to the local FBI, they are now contacting people in Arizona, BEWARE - THIS IS A SCAM!

got a call from 2063159816 asking for the owner/controller. told them they are not available so then they asked to speak to whoever takes care of bookkeeper i told them everybody was out of the office and they hung up immediately googled the number just to see what company it would link to and was amazed to find this

Heard lot of background chatter when I picked up the phone...lady asked if the owner or controller was in that she was calling due to some financial litigation, I said no and she hung up.

A***ole caller. Should let teh FCC take care of him.

Had a similar experience as the previous posters.  Very rude and pushy woman.  She claimed her name was "Rebecca Baron."  Here's the best part -- she called back and left a threatening msg on our voicemail!  What an idiot.

Time to contact the FTC.

Just received a call from some A-Hole demanding to speak with the owner/controller,  He "claimed" to be calling from "Joseph Stevens & Associates" (whatever that's supposed to be) ALOT of backround "chatter" clearly calling from a Telemarketers "Sweatroom" He hung up on me when I pressed him for info. (couldn't handle the pressure... Wussy. LOL!!)

I tried to call them back, I got a # disconnected message ??

I just filed a (online) complaint with the FTC for voilation of  the DO NOT CALL law.

I suggest everyone does the same.

These losers need to go back to Wendy's where they belong ! (and when I ask for NO sauce on my burger, I mean NO sauce. get it right damn it!)

I just received a call from this Mr. Rude Dude at my place of employment. Luckily we have caller I.D. at work, it came up as Buzz Broadband. I googled that and there is a wireless broadband company by that name in Australia which I'm sure has nothing to do with this rude guy. His first statement was "Let me speak to the owner or Comptroller", I asked him his name and what this was regarding, he said it was due to an investigation. I asked for his name again and the he hung up on me. I believe he called about 6 months ago with the same spiel. If you google the phone number without dashes or spaces, it takes you to a site about information on NCO, a collection agency. Scroll to the bottom to see where the phone number is. This kind of rude tactic is insane. If I see "Buzz Broadband" come back up on the caller ID, I'm going to give him or her a good blasting!

Rude "gentleman" called business line.  Asked for owner or controller of business regarding an investigation and immediately said he would hold all day if he needed to.  Asked him to give me some details so I knew to whom I could direct the call.  Said regarding legal proceedings due to passing and writing bad checks.  Asked him his name and company name and he hung up on me.  I hit *69 to get the number - 206-315-9816, when I called, the number is out of service???

at least 5 calls from this idiot in the last week or so.
says he's with "Stevens and Associates" and they(he) want to collect debt for my company. am considering options on bringing suit. Paper trail has started

Called & asked for general manager by name. General Mgr wasn't available, no message. He said he'd call back later.
