I've Received an phone call from 206-317-1627 stating I was qualified for an $7,000. I've tried calling this number back today 3 times but, NO Answer. I'm not really sure if it's a Scam or not. They told me I had to pay an $285.00 fee in order to get My $7,000 and My Confirmation # is LA103

I received the same call telling me to call 206-317-1627 to receive a federal grant.

I got the same call just a few moments ago. They asked for 280dollar. Deposit i believe these ppl need to be caught.they had me call this number 2063171627.they tried to make me believe it was a grant.

Just recieved the same call. There should be some kind of lawsuit about these gold diggers. Makes no sense.  Scam Artist!  Blood-Fiya!

Got a call that on my caller ID was 333-333-3333.  The person on the line told me about a federal grand of $7000 that I had "qualified" for because I paid my bills and taxes on time.  I know it's a scam because I'm usually late with my phone and cable bills.  I didn't even try the 206-317-1627 because I read some of the previous remarks regarding this very thing.  The person on the original call was not from this country.

Outragous! Agreed. Where are the Police, or the FBI, or whatever! I was able to find the registered address of the phone # no problem!  Where are the authorities? WTF!

Half an hour ago, the initial call from (1800778899)which looks like a toll free # missing a digit, the girl's accent is not Middle eastern, nor it's Indian, I couldn't figure it out, but the rest is the same story...where's the Police, or FBI, or whatever!

I got a call from this number a lady answer saying i won 7000 dollar grant from the govern , When i asked if it was a scam she yelled at me & said it was not a scam . then gave me a 206 317 1627 number with a code to give that lady when i called. I called & the lady said go to western store pay 285 and i would have 7000 wired into my account in 45 mins .

I had received to same phone # 999-999-9999 and the girl had an india accent and she gave me an i.d. # and told me to call 206-317-1627 and they would set it up for me.  That all I had to do to get the  $7,000 was goto the western union and call the 206 # and send 279.00 and they would release the 7000.00 to me.  She also said that the 279.00 would be sent to a charity of my choice.  I got home and contacted the athorities and they said that this is definitely as SCAM.  So if anyone is reading this, do not give them any info.  Just hang up.

Got the same call 4/30/13. Initial call from 888-888-8888. Super hard to understand woman said I had $7000 grant money for me. Gave me the 206-317-1627 to call back. Did some research & called the number. Broken english speaking guy tried to convince me to send $280 via western union in order to recieve the $7000. Then said I would get the $280 back, totalling $7280! Said his name was Sam Alves. I had him spell it for me.  I went off on the guy telling him he had alot of nerve trying to scam my hard earned money. He started yelling back at me saying he didn't care if I didn"t want the grant money and continued to try to convince me it was legitimate. What a bunch of B/S. Total SCAM! These people should be prosecuted. WTF!

I got call from a Unknown number to notify me that I was awarded $7,000 in federal grant money, and asked me to call to this no 2063171627 .. I just tried to calling the no to check whether it is true, she said if I am getting the money in cash I can receive via western union and before that i have to transfer 285$ via western union to them to get the state transfer fee for the fund. is it true.

just got this call also. I said to the Account officer. How do I know you are from the Federal Govt Grant Verification office?  HE HUNG UP ON ME. Smells like a scam to me. The i.d. on the phone was 999-999-9999.

Same here, they are not about to scam me! The lady (middle eastern accent called me again today from an unknown number and gave me the 206 number to call. This time I got an answer and he said I have to call him when I get to western union so that he can give me instruction. Oh yeah, and pay $280 to receive the money. I didn't see anything about this grant program on the Treasury's web page. Still 7000 bucks does sound nice right about now.

I got this call yesterday and the guy was trying to get me to give him my bank info or credit card info when I asked if he could just send me a check he hung the phone up then a lady calls me today saying it could be sent western union but I have to pay 280.00 to get my 7,000.00 oh and I'd be reimbersed my 280.00 yeah right it sounds like a terrorist group to me they all had middle Eastern accents.

I got a call about this 7000 today also... When i called the number they gave me they did answer saying that i had to send them 260$ to get my 7000 but would also be reimbersed the 260.... Not sure but it sounds like a scam.... The guys name that i talked to was Gabreil Solz. and he did say he was in Washington DC but both people i spoke with sounded of another nationality

I keep getting phone calls every day/every night regarding $7,000 the "government" wants to give me. You call this number....the one they tell you to call...and it just rings. No one answers it.

They were asking for a 280 dollar transfer fee in order for them to release a 7000 dollar check that was
been sent from a bank in New York to my state.

I got this call too. A women gave me a verification number and a phone number to call. Everytime i call its busy or noone answers.?

woman phoned from US Department of federal grants to say they had big check waiting on me and all I needed to do was phone this number and give them my claim number.  when I looked it up on computer, I found this to be a scam.  So I decided to phone this number to see how it worked, but I got no reply.  I would immagine the US Federal Grants Department would be located in DC, not Seatle Washington.
