Got the fax @ work - responded using one of my many fake name e-mail addresses - I can't wait for the reply!

I also received this fax in Australia 2 days ago and I thought I am not stupid to fall for this.

I found 3 of these faxes in my fax tray this morning. Judging from all the posts here from various countries and locations (Hello World!), I suspect that this fax (scam) was sent by phone pirates. How else?! Nobody could afford all those toll charges unless they stole the long distance from someone else.

I just received a fax from a supposed Mr. Martin Hawke.  Our listing is suppose to be private so how are they able to get my number??  Doesn't seem like its even worth the extra money to have a supposed "unlisted" number.

I just recieved one 30 minutes ago. I wonder how these things work if some idiot was to bite. Is it the old nigerian letter scam where i have to deposite 10.000$ as some kind of wierd fee before i can recieve my 22.000.000$ or does the scam work in some other way?

Is there a number we can call to report this kind of scams so nobody gets ripped off?

just had a fax from Martin Hawke too - it makes me really mad that fraudsters can get away with this type of thing. Like the earlier victim I wish there was a way to stop faxes like this.

I also received this fax in Honolulu, HI.  Obviously a scam.

Fax arrived at our office in Honolulu, HI.  These idiots must spend a bundle on purchasing pretty large fax number lists, from UK to HI.  I guess they just need one "sucker" to make their investment worthwhile.

We received the same thing this afternoon and we are in UK as well.

Came from a french number: 0033 1707 90 001

just got this exact fax at my office, roughly an hour ago also.

Hahaha, i love how 4 of us got the same fax less than an hour ago and all I had to do was Google the name and scam to find this link immediately.

If you google Martin Hawke it refers to the highly educated Seventh Baron Hawke, Fallen Nigerian dictator names are so last year....

We're also in the UK and just received two faxes from Mr Hawke. I have to admit...I find it hilarious. Surely NO-ONE could possibly fall for it...right?

I receieved a fax from this phone number with the usualy Hoak of "My name is ... I want to invest US$22,500,000.00. crap.  I would love to know how I got put on this list, and who this number belongs too, so they can reported.  The name on the fax says its from a MR. Martin Hawke .  His email address is martinhawk@sify.com.  At the end of the fax, it asked for my phone number and fax number(which he obviously already has, so he can provide me with more information.

Same Damn Thing I receive this morning....

We are in the UK and had this same thing by fax today - do these people think we're idiots???

10-5-9 I received this same B.S. letter on my fax today. I have no doubt this is the latest shift from some African king who wants to shelter his money in my bank account to a Swiss developer. Switzerland does not sound anymore convincing, except to the gullible.
