This phone number belongs to a public utility named CallerID4U, Inc., which is run by Paul Maduno and Luis Martinez.  They have entered into revenue sharing agreements with telemarketers who make illegal unsolicited telephone calls.  They profit directly from these outbound unsolicited telephone calls.

2nd time I've had a call from this number. Both saying it was about the problems I had with Windows. 1st caller said he was from Windows. He tried to talk me thru things on the computer. 2nd one said they were from 24-7 windows help. When I asked how they knew I had problems, they put the phone down.
Can they control computers thru the phone line?

just got a call from a guy "Frank", asking to talk to Ms____ (my name), saying that my Windows 7 operating system has been hacked and he needed to "fix" it...Very noisy in the background....Smelling a rat I told him nobody by that name lived here...Wanted to know my name and if my computer was "on"  Told him NO.....Told him I had a bad connection and I would call him.
Gave me a phone# 40-1-866-999-1487 from Salt Lake City....Called back and can't connect with this number...My caller ID shown 1-206-397-1126

Recieved the call as well...Told the person I was talking to Microsoft and they said they wernt aware of any issues and they would not call out, unless I had called in...Told the guy this and he said F You and hung up the phone. Funny thing is that he said my name is Ron Wilson is the thickest indian accent I have ever heard....

I didn't recognize the number or the name TRIKON displayed on my Caller ID, so I didn't pick up...too many of these bogus calls to bother

An East Indian reported that when I download windows it would let a virus in- etc. I didn't listen any further.  I said thanks I would run a scan and put down the phone.  Is there any danger from this?  He asked for me by my full name.

Just got a call from these scammers. Kept them on the line for five minutes or so but they eventually figured out I was just yanking their chain and hung up. Not before, and I quote, calling me an 'a***ole' however. Best laugh I've had all week.

GOT A CALL FROM 206-397-1113 CLAIMING I HAD  PROBLEM WITH MY COMPUTER...i TOLD HER i WASN'T HAVING PROBLEMS, HER REPLY WAS IF I DIDN'T WANT TO HEAR IT OK BUT I WOULD BE LOSING MY COMPUTER...I HUNG UP...

I would like to know if anyone who works for the FBI or CIA get these calls at home, and if it bothers them enough to start investigating and cracking down on them?  I am using 800notes.com practically daily to identify all the scam calls we get.  The "Do Not Call" list is becoming more and more worthless every day.  It only keeps the honest guys from calling - just like the locks on your house doors are only good enough to keep the honest guys out, and perhaps the thieves with limited patience.

This same number just called me twice 206-397-1113 is listed as Trikon on my caller id.  The guy said he was an executive at Microsoft or Windows, I can't remember.  Then just kept repeating that I needed to pay $1,000.  He called me by name, "No, Mrs. X you don't understand your computer has been being used and to fix it you need to pay $1,000."  I hung up and he called back.  GRRRR!  Background was very noisy too.  Weird!

Call  received  1:55pm today 11/30  from 206-397-1113  name on caller id read  "ROG BP". couldn't recognize caller's name due to accent.
He asked if I had computer. I asked why he needed this information..he hung up. Interesting to see these above messages. Diffently a scam.

I happen to work for a large computer company and knew this was a scam.  Scary, very scary.

11-30-2011  at 10:00 am got phone call from a woman with heavy India Indian accent and lots of noise in the background.  Phone displayed  ROB BP  397-1113  which is area code 206.  She said my computer was sending error reports to the Windows Department.  She said that while I was browsing an infection got on my hard drive.  I asked for the company name and she said, MTL Software (I had her spell it) and their phone number is 877-779-9298.  Then she gave me to a technician, Angel, (yes, a woman named Angel!).  Angel wanted me to go to Start and ask if I had a Run function on my computer.  When I said, yes, all windows computers have a run function she asked something else that I couldn?t understand.  I said I use to teach computer classes and know that all computers have a run function.  She hung up on  me!  I googled the 877 number and many others have reported this Indian sounding person calling.  Others say it is coming from outside the country but on my phone display it a Seattle number.  This is the 2nd time I have gotten a call like this.  The other time was in September.  Someone needs to shut these folks' operation down.

Received phone call from this number today. Caller claimed to be from Worldithub and they were receiving problem messages from my computer. wanted to walk me thru fixit after telling me dangers. said they were able to monitor all computers going online. I smelled a rat and put them off, but very noisy background and when I asked for a phone #, caller had to look up 1-866-999-1487. I've worked in call centers and that amount of noise is not normal and any working for a company shouldn't need between 1 and 2 minutes to look it up. Checked caller ID and found 206-397-1113 is trikon. thanx for having this info available.

206-397-1113 = TRIKON = FRAUDSTERS = Beware. these guys are calling from India, i myself i am from India living in VA, yesterday i got a call stating that my computer is sending our viruses and i know i have a firewall, though he was not understandable, i figured out that this guy was tryign to steal from us by faking fears in his talk. I said goodbye and i will handle it, he started ABUSING in HINDI and he probably thought i dont understand Hindi, i waited for minute and gave it back to him in his own language and all of a sudden he was taken aback, because he hasnt realized that i understood what he was saying. I literally had to use his own language.

These guys are thugs, Beware of TRIKON @ 206-397-1113 or any other number, but the company is TRIKON and i am very sure they are calling from India.

Got a call from this number just now and the guy was coughing and finally spoke.  Indian accent, said he was calling from Windows about my computer, coughed some more.  I asked who he was looking to reach and he replied with "f**** You" and hung up.

I got a call at 9:45 pm tonight.(isnt that too late?) I didnt answer,but because of a recent rash of fraudulent debt collection calls I always google suspicious numbers. That is how I found this posting.
 What is interesting is that last night I received an unscheduled update on the computer after which the keyboard quit working. I got into the control panel and found a suspicious file and deleted it(be careful doing this) The keyboard was then fine. Tonight I got the call from Trikon. After reading this site I have to wonder did the malware come from Trikon as a ruse to get into the computer and personal info.hmmm...
  I hope the feds get involved

I got a  very strange call from this number with an Indian voice,they said,they are from Ontario Division that they knew that my PC was offline and has a virus and I have to becarfull about jakers and all these things and I said how I know, you are tell me truth,I don't know you, give me your phone number and he gime a phone number 161143888814 but he got angry and I call but is not a correct number.

Just got a call from these guys...i 'answered' and hung up in the same motion. This is terrible to harass people this way.

Pushy Indian descent male named "Robin".  Same story as above.  Got very rude when I asked questions about why he was calling.  I asked him to send me a written explanation of the problem and information on his company which I could verify.  He didn't understand why I wanted that.  If you keep asking them questions and say you don't understand what they want or why they are calling you, they get angry and hang up.
You can also ask them if they have any special packages for HBO and Cinemax or if they can help you take the parental control block off the porno channel on your cable box.
Asking how the weather is where they are calling from, or explaining what a horrible night you had due to being sick and running to the bathroom constantly to throw up or have diarhea (be more graphic) is also a fun topic to go off on.  They hate having the table turned on them.  
These types of calls are a nuisance, but I love screwing with them and wasting their time!

Caller with heavy accent called about my computer...she said she was from Windows at first and then she said she was from My PC Care...
.I told her I don't own a computer and pressed the 9 button a few times and then hung up...

Even if you give these people your email address you can and will be tricked one day in opening or viewing an email sent by these scamers (and they will gain access that way)...
If you have given these people access to your computer already ,change all your passwords for your banking,emails etc...!!!There are many more things you can do(google for more)

When I said I didn't have time to deal with him right now, he told me to call 1/888-408-6651 for further assistance. So it all happened pretty much exactly as this scam has been described by your original post.

Just got a call at work that actually didn't show up as this number when it rang in (206-397-1113) but this is what showed up when I looked back at my received calls. Anyway, the company name came up as Trikon. When the guy finally answered he said he was calling to follow up on my computer. I figured that since my employer is the only one who can do much of anything to my computer (I can't even update Adobe on my own!), it was highly unlikely that some third party had anything legiyt to say about it so I hung up. Steer clear!

This "place", whoever they are, keep calling my place of work.  No one is ever on the line when I answer, and I immediately get a hang-up style tone.
