they are not representatives of Google, no affiliation. These are simply scammers who are lying about whom they represent, using spoofed phone numbers to block traceability. The Do Not Call list will not help since they are calling from out of this country.

Caller ID says "Ranking Company"  They keep calling and hanging up.  Based on other responses, I didn't miss anything.  Well, except the fun of pushing 1 and wasting THEIR time.

Yet another annoying robo calling google listing scam

They call and hang up. So annoying. When I call back, it says "press 1 to speak to a rep...  press 9 to be removed..." Neither button does a thing. Completely ludicrous.

Rang wireline. Call blocked. ....still going and going and going....blah, blah. "Ranking Company" as in rank (foul smelling) associates.

But these calls do sound like telemarketing calls, and illegal prerecorded ones at that.  Also, if the purpose of the call is telemarketing but they do not leave a message, that call is still in violation of the DNC list, isn't it?

The Do Not Call list applies only to telemarketing calls. It does not apply to: Political calls, calls from non-profits, calls for surveys and a whole host of others. It does not apply to calls that leave no message or hang up.

Repeated calls from this number .... does not leave message ... and no one responds when I pickup the phone -- I am on the PA Do Not Call List ... but that does not seem to STOP these unwanted calls!

They are hammering North America with robocalls.  "Please press 1 to get your free google listing?"   WTF?  I can get that without these phone spamming imbeciles!

They represent themselves to be Google and then once they bait their victims, they charge big money for Google's free Places listing service.

When they call again answer the phone Verizon (insert your own provider) Security.  Be gruff and ask the name of the caller and his company name.  Advise that you are executing a Federal Warrant for the FCC based on their customer's complaint and have "captured" this number.  Don't flinch.  No matter what they say keep demanding their name and company name.  We just successfully pulled this off on the 13th robo caller.  Works like a charm and fun too!!!  Enjoy!!!

oddly enough just seconds after typing in the above another call came in with same title of INCOMING but from a different phone #  didn't answer.. trying to get some work done!  humm think of that. . . at work TRYING to earn my wage doing actual WORK !  not being interrupted by BS calls

These butt-wipes called our company yet again with their inane illegal robo-recording (violate FCC requirements because they do not identify their company and do not provide a valid phone number.)  I listened to the same stupid message of, "Press 1 to update your FREE internet business listing.  Again, press 1 to update your listing."  When I didn't respond, it quickly disconnected.  I call-blocked my number and called the telephone # and another recorded message picked up, thanking me for calling my "local SDO (??) Department" or something like that and went into a spiel about how their company puts companies in prime places to be noticed.  I hit 1 to speak with some butt-wipe who identified himself as Matt.  I asked him pleasantly what was the name of his company.  He hesitated and said "29 Prime."  I then (still pleasantly) asked him if he was aware that the recorded message they use was in violation of FCC regulations.  He claimed ignorance.  (Stupidity and voluntary ignorance, more like.)  I explained it was and that there were numerous complaints lodged with the FCC about them, that they should get in compliance quick.  He started saying something but I just told him, "Have a nice day," and hung up.  It won't do any good, I know, but at least I have a tidbit of info to pass on in my FCC complaint - that's assuming he actually truthfully identified his so-called company.
