Don't make sense to me, these jerks call my phone almost every day. And, every day I never answer it.....just let it ring.  i don't know, but if I were in business, and people didn't want to talk to me, I'd find another line of work....not waste my money making long distance calls to people I know hate my guts.

Occasionally when I get telemarketers calling, I ask them to hold on for just a minute and walk away from the phone.  I did that one time while we were eating dinner.  My kids were aghast that I would do this to someone.

Repeated calls from this number with a recorded message.  Our number is registered with DO NOT CALL.
They call repeatedly.

Tried to acces the website - www.frontpageplacement.net - to add my name to the do not call list others had mentioned. Of course the website now comes up as  "Firefox can't find the server at www.frontpageplacement.net." What a surprise! Not!

A hint to you guys (and gals) when I'm getting these calls now I'll immediately interuppt them and say .. "I'm so glad you called!" After their shock I'll then continue that I'd be HAPPY to sell them my product - which obviously they wanted since they called me! If they try to interject I won't let them and just repeat their name over and over until they pause - at which point I keep selling MY product to them. So far I have found this gets you off their list pretty quick! And who knows, I might actually make a sale on their dime! LOL!

Thanks for posting this.  2-3 times daily the number 206-397-1615 calls my phone and either plays an automated telemarketing message or hangs up.  I cannot reach anyone by calling back.

this company CallerID4U has been calling under another number also. Did not answer. Blocked them.

This number is associated with a well-know group of scammers: CallerID4U, Inc.  The principals of this company Paul Maduno and his partner Luis Martinez have an extensive history involving illicit telemarketing. In 2009, their business was called Digitcom Services, Inc., and they partnered with Steve Hamilton and F Antone Accuardi of Pacific Telecom Communications Group, who are currently the subjects of a class-action lawsuit for illegal telemarketing. Through a loophole in the system (called CNAM provisioning), these vermin make money every time a caller ID is displayed, so they do not care if you respond or not...they will keep calling.  See this blog:  http://telemarketerspam.wordpress.com/
Take the time to read the blog and make the complaint. In the long run, the only thing that will stop these criminals is large numbers of people taking the time to make the complaints...to the DNC list, to the FCC, to law enforcement. See also:

I answered this call and they're company is called Secure Local and they sell front page placement on Google and other search engines. These are their URL's: http://www.frontpageplacement.net/ and http://www.secure-local.com  They are based out of Irvine CA but it appears their calling center is in Seattle. It appears to be a legitimate business and I had been looking to advertise our business on the front page of Google. I hope I am right as I signed up for a month-to-month ad. I'll let you know if I get results.

The company they told me was http://www.adventranking.com  I did a /whois on this website and found it to be related to http://www.29prime.com.  These companies are based out of Irvine, but all the calls seem to be coming from Seattle.  There is a do not call on the bottom, but because they call using an automated system, you can report them on https://www.donotcall.gov/.

Yet another long line of Google scams. I use software to block all inbound toll free numbers. For this number the scammers tend to use "INCOMING CALL" as the caller ID name. Set software to block any caller ID name using that phrase. This effectively blocks 1000's of telemarketers from getting through without knowing the numbers they call from.

Autodialer, recorded message: "Please press 1 to update your business listing....again, please press 1 to update your free internet business listing." No indication of what company or anything else.

Very old, tired scam......but a new number since there are only recent complaints at this site. I guess all intelligent folks have blocked their old number and they have to start again and find a new phone number. We can therefore conclude they are seriously deficient in the old grey matter!

This scam is just so old and lame. Anyone who falls for it deserves to be scammed (and is so 'challenged' they probably won't be in business long anyway). Then there are those of us who are just regular homeowners who are getting called to update our google page or to get at the top of google. Like we are really going to fall for this scam!!!!!!!
4 out of 5 of my scam calls are about this right now. Criminals are pretty stupid.

Rec'd call, they did not leave message..went to donotcall.gov and reported them.

I picked up and the dumb woman couldn't hear. She said HELLO really obnoxious. She asked to speak to a specific someone, i told her to F**k off. Then I hung up, i got a call back again.

I used to get these call all the time.  I started keeping a list, and would check it when the calls came in.  If it was on the list, I'd answer it and listen to the pre-recorded "message".  Then I'd take the option to speak to a salesperson like I was going to make a purchase.

Once I got them on the line I'd "play" with them... ask them to hold... come back say "hello... is this aunt Lucy?"... then ask to hold... then come back and babble into the phone, maybe moan like I was ill... and when I finally felt like they were getting ready to hang up, I'd say in a very clear and lucid tone...

"Since you wasted my time with this call, I thought I'd do the same for you.  Feel free to call back any time"

Seems I've gone from 10 calls like this a day to maybe one a month.  Seems the word gets out.

HA!! I also use an airhorn. I don't do all of the other stuff though. I just wait until someone comes on the line and then I blast them.

Possibly because they want you to call them back based on your caller ID log. Many people do just that. Then, presumably, they will try to say that you called them so there was no violation of TCPA.
