I just like to get one of them on the phone, tell them that I have $22,000 in credit card debit and that yes I have a high interest rate.  Since they won't quit calling I like to have fun with them now.  I give them fake names, fake everything...  Then at some point in the conversation I ask if I can skullf*ck their mom or something equally disgusting or offensive...  I have gotten one telemarketer to the point of making death threats against me.  Had him on the line for 32 minutes!!!  With me on the line, he can't steal from little old ladies.  If you can't get rid of them, have fun with them and waste their time.  If they spend 8 hours a day getting people talking about wanting to have sex with their eyesocket, they'll quit.  Don't get mad, offend their religious beliefs, make fun of their race, blow an airhorn in the phone, be gross or nasty, be sexist or feminist, but have fun with them!!!  Make their call the highlight of your day!

Got one of these a few minutes ago. Only rang once and hung up so I didn't even get a chance to answer it.

In our local paper today there was an article from the Better Business Bureau warning about these types of calls. It is ILLEGAL to use robocallers such as the 'Rachael from Card Services'. The FTC asks that no one d EVER punch any number to take your name off the calling list, to speak to a live operator or anything else. This only lets them know the number is active and that puts you on a 'hot list' that will make the calls worse than ever.

The BBB has been getting over 1 million complaints about these people every day and we need to keep it up. Every time you get one, report it to the BBB, the FTC and your state Do Not Call complaint list. The more complaints they get, the more severe the penalty can be when they finally do catch these idiots. And with this many people complaining, they will catch them eventually. Hopefully once they do there will be a class action lawsuit filed against each and every one of them that will help pay us back for all the harrassment and aggravation we've been through!

I continue to get a lot of calls from this and a couple of other number.  Funny thing though......  It mostly started after I registered my phone on the DO NOT CALL registry.    It appears tha since I registered trying to stop getting two or three calss, the quantity of calls coming is has been more than quadrupled. It is annoying!!!!!!!!!

Nothing that you do will stop them from calling you. The major players behind this have made millions of dollars, which means that they are too big to fail.
One of the major players specializes in aiding the rich with tax evasion and shell corporations set up in Belize. You can bet that the well to do in this country are not getting lower your credit card interest rate calls and due to that fact our government just considers a few phone calls a minor annoyance.
The FCC has temporarily halted 5 of the minor unprofitable boiler rooms. They will receive a slap on the wrist and be back at it within a few days.

In the meantime the calls will continue since the major money is being made with what is called a CNAM revenue-sharing program through companies like   http://www.telephonemanagement.net
In their own words:  'Every day your company makes thousands of outbound phone calls. Every one of those calls generates revenue for many companies, why not yours? Our CNAM revenue-sharing program helps you make money every time a Caller ID request is made by a phone carrier. A high-traffic call center can lose hundreds to thousands of dollars a day to phone carriers by allowing them to charge for access to your own data.'

You can now see why the criminals keep calling even though they know you won't fall for their scam. If someone does make the mistake of answering the phone and falling for their con then it is just icing on the cake for them. These people are the lowest form of filth on this planet. The only way to stop this is to contact the FBI and ask why this crime family is allowed to operate and facilitate the ongoing criminal operations. This is one of the reasons that the RICO act was put in place, so why aren't they using it. Is this because this isn't a high profile, news worthy operation or is the FBI too understaffed and busy with Homeland Security issues. Maybe if we were rich they would take this seriously, but then if we were rich we would be using that criminal organizations services and protecting them instead of trying to shut them down. It is alleged that they launder money from Pacific Telecom through a trust bank account in Oregon and into foreign accounts at Scotiabank in Belize and other destinations.

Why hasn't the FBI used the RICO act and gone after this organization? On October 15, 1970, the Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act (18 U.S.C. §§ 1961?1968), commonly referred to as the 'RICO Act', became United States law. The RICO Act allowed law enforcement to charge a person or group of people with racketeering, defined as committing multiple violations of certain varieties within a ten-year period. The purpose of the RICO Act was stated as 'the elimination of the infiltration of organized crime and racketeering into legitimate organizations operating in interstate commerce'. S.Rep. No. 617, 91st Cong., 1st Sess. 76 (1968). However, the statute is sufficiently broad to encompass illegal activities relating to any enterprise affecting interstate or foreign commerce.

Any criminal activity can be reported to the FBI here:  https://tips.fbi.gov
Report it at http://www.fcc.gov/complaints
Report it at https://www.ftccomplaintassistant.gov
People should continually file complaints with their Attorney Generals office.
There is a blog site that has information on one of these operations:     http://telemarketerspam.wordpress.com

I've received multiple calls from this number and others. They always hang up on me before I can complete my sentence requesting that I be removed from their list. Today I first said, "please don't hange up," and then asked them to remove me and again, they hung up on me immediately. SO INFURIATING! Seems like we should be able to sue for harrassment.

I also keep getting calls and they wont stop...the numbers rotate.  I answered a call last spring and the guy actually told me that the only way to stop it is to change my phone number!  Yeah Right!!!   He said that the numbers are bought from overseas and so our federal regulations -DO NOT CALL LIST - are not valid since it is not within the US!  I keep blocking the calls when they come in but then they just come up with another phone number!  One guy actually got nasty at me when I tried to talk to me and told me I was wasting His time....seriously!  These folks are NUTS!!  I filed a complaint a long time ago with the FCC and nothing was done.

I was getting a lot of calls from 206, 701 and 843 exchanges. They started calling several times a day. When I blocked them, they would just change the number and start calling again. They are using the "change your credit card rate", "free security system" and/or "reduce your mortgage principle" scams to phish for personal information. I don't know if they are all connected but it sounds like the same people. Since I had a limit of how many calls I could block, I bought the "Extreme callblocker" app available under Google apps.          What I ended up doing it whitelisting all of the calls in my call list and blocking all other calls. This is my cell phone so I don't want any soliciting! They drawback to the tool is that you have to turn on the app each day. Once it is working, it will give you the opportunity to move the calls to the whitelist when you want. You can also specify all calls to record on the blacklist log so you can see what you missed. I don't even let the scum bags leave a voice mail. My phone just hangs up on them.

I rec'd a call from these SOBs today after blocking two other numbers they were using during the past two weeks.  The 1st number was coming in for months and then once I blocked it, calls started on a new number.   Blocked the 2nd and now they're using a 3rd.

These callers are trying to get personal info, SSNs credit card info etc.

The calls are to my cell phone which really is annoying.  The gov't doesn't seem to be able to stop the calls.  I've been filing complaints on Do Not Call but the calls are actually getting worse.
