called me 3-9-10 pressed 1 to ask why they keep calling me they just hang up.

Recorded message from a company that does not disclose it's name.

on 3/11/10 using 206-397-1900. I'm on do not call
(for all the good that does).

They call us repeatedly and WE HAVE ASKED THEM OVER AND OVER AGAIN TO STOP; WE ARE VERY CLOSE TO THE DECISION TO START TO TAKE LEGAL ACTION!

Pressed one to see what they had to say and laid into them about it being a scam.  He became upset and told me they would cancel my card and I had a week to call them back, then they called me by my maiden name which I haven't used for six years.  I called their B.S. and hung up.

JOHN!!! HILARIOUS!!!  I am going to start answering with, "Department of Justice."  that's awesome!  I've also heard of the whistle or air-horn approach :)

Called today: CID said "Credit services"
I am filing for bankruptcy and figured it was for me, but the recording said my credit is great and I qualify for the lower interest rate! I figured it was for my parent's, so I held for the representative.  I asked who was calling, and the man with a non-american/english accent said he was calling from visa and mastercard services and wants to offer the lower interest rate since I have been paying on-time on my credit cards for the last 6 months--he added at the end..."Right?".  I said, "well, no, so you may be trying to reach my parents, what company are you with so I can have them return your call?" The man hung up on me.  NICE.  I called the (206) 397-1018 number back, and it was a recording thanking me for my inquiry, and asked to press one if I would like to be placed on the do-not-call list.  And then IT hung up!
Anyone know the actual NAME of this company?

Answered on the 2nd ring and got the music and then it disconnected.  After Googling and learning it's one of the scammers, I saved the number to my cell phone where I gave it a peculiar ring tone, so the next time they call I just ignore it.  Try it, it works!!!!

My experience with a robotic call from 1-206-397-1918 was similar to the telephone calls received from others. The person to whom I spoke had what I perceived as a Middle East accent. He was polite until I began questioning his knowledge of me and my credit card history. He finally abruptly and with total want of professionalism or courteousness terminated the telephone call.

When I don't recognize the phone number on caller ID, I answer, "Department of Justice".
Any guess on how fast a person can hang up a phone?
How to guarantee that your number is taken off the caller list!

Same as many reported above ... multiple calls over time, usually no one there when answered, disconnects after 15-20 seconds.
