206-426-6486 left a pre-recorded message on my voice mail today saying this is Ken Blackwell representing the Ohio Republican Party re. an upcomming election issue. When I called back it was a modem tone.

Just received a call from 206-426-6486. Phone display said "Unassigned". It was a recorded message from the Reverend Pat Robertson telling us to vote No on Issue 3. Man, I'll sure be glad when all this election junk is over.

This is definitely a calling company who hires out their services to others, and lately, the Democratic Party seems to be hiring them. I think this is a system specifically for answering machines. If you pick up, you get dead air. If you let it go to the answering machine, you get a recorded message.
I read here that someone received calls about President Obama. I received a message from New York City former Mayor Ed Koch, campaigning for David Yassky for City Comptroller.
I usually call the politicians office to complain, but it never does any good. Now I just call and tell them that they lost my vote by bothering me with these phone calls...

This number is a fax machine "off regular biz hrs". Send that 206# a fax advising them to stop calling your number. By law, they must stop calling you. I registered a complaint with the FTC - took less than 5 minutes. 877-382-4357. Will check FTC for class action law suit. Call today! :-)

Very odd...just got a call from this number on my cell phone.
Answered it and all I heard was an automated machine saying something in Spanish and then I heard "Obama" mentioned.
As I do not understand Spanish...much less this was clearly an automated system...I just hung up. Looked up the number and found this page =\
I can only guess it was an automated spam if not political.

You're not lying..these people get our numbers from phone number data banks that do nothing but collect phone numbers and sell them to other people. Everytime you make on online payment, call for information on a paticular service, use 411, there's a "foot print" so to speak of your number and it will sooner or later (usually sooner) wind on one of these fools list and then it..well you know the rest. Everytime I get one of these I take the time to report them to the FCC which will stop it, but unfortunately, there are many more waiting to take their places. They can be anythin from telemarketers, collection agencies, hackers trying to hack into your computer via your phone modem etc. It is worth the time to report them / If you have computer even if you don't, contact FCC and request copy of their rules and regulations which they will send you free of charge. You will find it most informative. Good luck, meow purr

Trly. Their world domination is just moments away.

The caller ID said "Unassigned" and the voicemail was a recorded message that didn't identify the company other than to say "Hi, this is Janie from the Loan Servicing Department. The federal government has asked lenders to work with ..."
We are not home owners nor do we have a mortgage, and these people clearly didn't check the Do Not Call Registry before adding us to their database (and then had the cheek to ask us to "...press 9 to be removed from [our] database...").
I filed a complaint with the Registry, although what good that will do is anyone's guess.
I firmly believe that the caller is fronting a scam whereby they charge fees to renegotiate your mortgage (something you can do yourself). I doubt anyone in authority will ever do anything about crap like this, but you have to jump through the hoops just in case they might...

Caller lets phone ring one time & hangs up all the time. Caller ID says they're from Seattle Washington. I know no one there.
Search says phone number is on James St between 5th Ave and 4th Ave.

At 3:30pm...the busiest time at the office, I answered a call and announced our office name. There was no sound, just silence...no background sound at all! This happens more and more frequently and it is oh so very annoying and disruptive to all office personnel!! Quit calling offices where people are actually working for their dime!! I truly dislike this practice; has society no ethics or morals when it comes to duping the american public?!! Leave us workers alone...we certainly do not have time for the likes of individuals, such as yourself!!
