Yes...I answered- with my BUSINESS name- no sound-immediate disconnection.
SO...if you want them to leave you alone...just answer "Pizza Hut" or something retail in nature

These creeps continue to call even though I filed a complaint with the FCC nearly a year ago. They get angry, raise their voices and yell at me when I tell them I am NOT interested and to take me off of their calling list Now I just don't answer. They have changed their phone number from 206-861-7750 to 206-456-3081. Filing complaints does not seem to make a difference - the government does nothing to stop these people, and they really don't care if we get annoying phone calls over and over and over..infinity.

This caller needs to stop calling. My number is registered with the DO NOT CALL registry yet I am still getting calls.

This is Pacific Rim Marketing Group and they sell garbage promotional items. Here is what I do and I hope you will all do the same. I do one of two things, either I call them and get a live person or an answering machine and I "Rick Roll" them or I send a fax to their fax number that asks for a quote on a large quantity of items they offer. Both are jokes to kinda even things out for their BS repeating calls to my business.
The Rick Roll : Call them at (866) 337-1070 and if you get the answering machine ask for a quote on a large quantity of an item they sell. Talk about how badly you need them, that you aren't worried about price etc. Try to get them going for a minute or two. Then, at the end of the call, say "call me back at 234-773..... (or whatever made up partial number) and then play Rick Astley's "Never Gonna Give You Up" for the next minute or so. That's the "Rick Roll". If you get a live person, ask them to speak to a sales person and give them the same spiel about wanting a large quantity of something and then say "I have another call, can you hold for a minute". Then play the rick roll music until they hang up.
Fax Joke: Send a fax saying that you want a large quantity of certain item, rush job, expense no object etc and include a call back number with the last digit of the phone number obscured. They will then call all ten possible last numbers trying to find this big "client".
If we all do this enough, maybe they will get the message that is sucks to be annoyed at work by some a-hole wasting your time!

Asked for my wife by the wrong name and hung up.Sounds scary to me, perhaps like a stalker. I'm now worried for my wife's safety. What can be done about this abuse of telephonic equipment?

wouldn't say anything about who he is or what he wants. calls all the time. this is a business line he calls. acts friendly at time and other times you asked him what he wants and he gets made and hangs up on you like you did something wrong. i wish something could be done about him.

Inscribed pens and other cheap crap. This is what they were trying to sell my business.

Jay from Pacific Rim said he wanted to talk to one of the other owners I said she is not available may I ask who is calling? He said his name was Jay that he was offering promotional items like pens, folders banners etc that would have our business name plastered all over. I ask for a number that I could call back on and he said 1-866-377-1070. (Not a working number, I tried it twice) *69 gave me 206-456-3081. This person was identified by the sound of his voice by my receptionist as the same person that has made a series of rude calls to this business office. He has been asked repeatedly to take our number off his list and has yelled at my receptionist repeatedly.

Caller ID said None, I didn't answer and they didn't leave a message. If this is a scam, how does it work? Does anybody know?
| Bill 2011-02-04 16:10:22 Unknown |
Seems to be the same as all of the other posts. I answered the company phone, this person asked for the owner, I asked who was calling and they hung up the phone. My caller ID had "none" as the name and the number was listed. Looked up the number on google and found this site.

Got a call from this number also. Rude and idiotic people. Don't understand what their game is. It just doesn't make sense what they are doing or why they are doing it. They call, mumble something unintelligible and hang up. It's the most stupid thing to call strangers and hang up. If they're trying to scam somebody, I can't figure out what they are doing. Would be great if we could get rid of these sob's.

Received a call on my business phone from a woman asking for my husband by name. I asked who was calling, but rather than answer my question, she kept on asking for my husband. She finally replied "Pacific Rim". Said she'll call back later. Problem for her is she'll only reach me, and I won't pick up her call :)

just a heads-up. One of our co debit cards got hacked twice in 2010. We use it for online purchases through 3 vendors exclusively, all three confirm they do not sell information, the card never left our hands, nor left the premises.
Origin of false transactions were out of WA, and KY.
I have a gut feeling callers are tapping into phone lines to access information through systems networks.
This was reported on Fox 6 news before the holidays, a big scam in progress, bilking unwitting consumers out of billions of dollars in small charges, which most people might not catch.
Watch your credit card statements closely for tiny charges to unknown entities...and when you see this company come up or any 888 area code, turn off answering machines.
We have the most current anti-hack programs installed on our networks, but it doesn't necessarily guarantee protection from these types of hacks.

Received a call from this number at my work asking for the owner by name, I told them he was out at the moment and if I could help them, the girl simply said no thanks and hanged up before I realized that it was a telemarketing company. Pacific Rim Mar(keting)?

Weekly unwanted calls from this marketing company. When the man on the other end asked for my boss I informed him that my boss was un-interested in speaking to him. He then verbaly assulted me by calling me evil and laughed at me. I then hung up on him. Now when they call and I answer they just hang up because they know I'm screening the call which is my job. I would like this to stop pleaase.

I get calls all the time from companies like this they don't say a word just hang up.
As a business owner it is irritating when the phone rings and these scam companies can't even identify themselves so you can ask to be taken off of their call list...
