He took my credit card number and stole it. He is a fraud

Funny I ended up here!  I just had another Craig's List experience where he wants to buy to large windows I have available.  The number traces back to somewhere in Seattle and I'm in Chicago. I can't imagine why someone would go through the trouble of doing this.  Looks suspicious!

I got the exact same meassage as you Istarbeck...and it was for some cadillac rims.  The scams are getting too good.

This fella tried twice to buy a plumber drain snake. First I told him to call me.  Then he left the same number everyone else has recieved on the craigslist add.  His messages have been written with broken english as below"
Hello, I have interest and willing to buy If you can reduce the price a bit.
Are you willing to sell out of state, I am located in Lacey, WA area
code 206 and zipcode 98503.
Get back to me on my cell (206-457-1970) or send me an email immediately.
Robert"
I nevered called but googled his number and whalaa.

David Holtzinger (davvyholz300@hotmail.com) Just like the posts above we were selling a ski boat. We even had multiple buyers but this David, davey, or whatever his name is did almost the same exact thing to us. He wanted the boat so bad he said he'd guarantee funds to assure he was the sole purchaser. Hem at first wanted to use this FQW (free quick wire) service after we found out it cost an arm & leg we told him as our ad stated certified cashiers check, money order or cash only; well he ended up overnighting via UPS a business check, it was my instinct to verify funds and low and behold, the account was closed, the company name didn't exist and to top it all, he got our ad from caigslist so. calif. my husband tracked his IP to Washington state and this apparent business to someplace in Florida.  BIG SCAM!  I would encourage each of you to file a report w/your local police dept or if you're county, go to your sheriff.  We reported him and the more reports, chances are he'll face some legal issues.

David Holz (davvyholz200@hotmail.com and this phone number) has responded to my Craig's List post for oak flooring in Alaska. And my question is similar to those above, why would you buy oak flooring out of state and pay for the shipping? I'm very leary of this. He offered to "pay with online bank certified check via my merchant".

Same here, he is interested in buying a motor from me off craigslist. I haven't been able to find out much but I believe this is a scam. the e-mail he sent on this one happens to be davyholz700@hotmail.com
