I didn't take the call. Just searched for the number online and got the info listed here.
@Beverly Bohler Costa Mesa CA: contact the WA attorney general's office and the PD there, and also report your experience to your local FBI office, because of the threat you received and the alleged cross-state involvement (I'm in NM, so it's probably in WA, but even if it's a spoofed number, you're in CA, I'm in NM, therefore, the offense must be across state lines and should be investigated.) I checked with the FCC online complaint address and couldn't determine if this was something to file with them or not; have filed with them in the past, but this is the first time this number has called, and I did not experience what you did (but I did not answer the call at all.)
Here's the FCC online link, if you or anyone thinks this may help their situation: http://esupport.fcc.gov/complaints.htm
In NM, all calls of a suspicious nature may be filed with local law enforcement, and are aggregated into a data base; if enough data matches, our state will investigate. It's low-priority stuff, but sometimes it's enough to make the news to warn people about, especially in cases of fraud.
My phone system allows call blocking, and that's exactly what I've done with this number.

They called me and offered phone s*x for $8.99 a minute. I told them "No!" and they began to speak about s*x and what they would do to me if they had the chance. The guy threatened to rape me because I was rude to him. I called the Police. Since they are in WA, the Costa Mesa PD could only take my complaint.
