Cruise scam...if you call back with your number blocked...they won't take the call...caggy scammers.

The same nnumber called me and no one on the other side. sounded like breathing and then *CLICK*. I wish thoses freakin' numbers would just f**k Off.

It's a robo call...that means that it is an auto-dialler. When they are calling you, they also are simulataneously calling many other potential victims. If you answer, the 'human' who is running to robo dialler may not get to the call before you hang up. They called me and I let it ring....23 times before the "human" finally came on and manually disconnected.

Apparently this is the cruise scam....."(blast of fog horn)...This is your captain calling!" then on the tape goes with the scam. At the end (if you endure that long) they tell you that you can have your number removed by pressing some number....how likely is that? I think it just tells them that someone is home and they try you on another number or sell your number for some other scam.

So far I have had cruise scam calls from these numbers:

No doubt they want you to give a credit card number to "claim" your "free" cruise. Creepers.

"One ringy dingy; two ringy dingy;" ......23 rings until some human came on the line and disconnected their robo call. Goody...must have cost them a bit to try this scam on me. Your "captain calling" my a**. More like your local criminal calling.

This number called about 10 minutes ago.  I said hello 3 times but nobody answered.. the point of calling without saying anything is beyond me.

They have called twice here and I didn't recognize the number so I let it ring. How does one block a specific number with Bell?

Received unknown call at 1020 PST today - left no message

I live in Ontario also and there are a couple scams coming from Area code 206. The "You won a cruise" has been a big one. The other that has hit a number of people is where they see if you own a computer because they are calling from "Windows". They try to get you to log on to their site and then keep you on the line. While your computer is connected, they can scan your computers hard drive, picking up info and even leaving a virus behind.

Back to the "You won a cruise" call. When they called last year, I got an operator on the line and asked "what I was going to do with a free cruise when I was terrified of the water?".

*CLICK*

I pressed "1" and the message said it would remove me in 24 hours. Probably recorded my # to put on 100 more lists though......

Call back the number and an automated system advises that this a marketing call; it also provides you the option to be added to their Do Not Call list by selecting #1.

I tried this as well, hopefully it works.

After I said hello for the third time they just hung up without ever saying a word. I am sure that this number has called my house more than once so from now on I'm going to *69 it just to be sure. If it is the same number I really wish they would stop calling and hanging up without saying anything

Yes it is you can call them back and have your number removed if they continue to be annoying and calling you everyday like the did me.

this is a marketing call if you call it back and press 1 they will remove your number out of their dialer it will take about 24 hours to remove. and will cost ya long distance fee for the call to the USA, I live in Ontario, Canada and they are call my cell phone they have called me daily for over a month.

Call, no message. Appears to be around same time as bob fellers comment. Live in Ontario, call from Washington State. Don't know anyone there, so assuming telemarketing.
