I would suggest you get less "uppity," because a polite request works wonders with this organization.  In short, get a grip and get over it!

I didn't answer the call, but Hillsdale College is a great conservative law and history college, I sent a donation when I could, and will again when I can afford it.

Caller ID shows DE Serv Com. No message was left other than the "to do" note I wrote to myself to report it to the DoNotCall Registry.

Caller ID said DE SERVE COM.  Also, the president of Hillsdale College is Larry ARNN; I mispelled it before.  The college's phone number is (517) 437-7341.  I found a way to contact them w/o writing a letter and emailed it.  Hope they take my message to heart.  Directed it to Larry Arnn.  Hillsdale College isn't very large; I hope it goes straight to him.

I received one of these msgs today.  It was from Larry Arndt, President of Hillsdale College, Hillsdale, Michigan.  Similarly, he has some card he is going to send thru the mail.  When it comes, I plan to write a letter to him, copying my attorney, and advise this kind of harassing telemarketing is going to stop or there will be legal consequences.  I've blocked him from all my emails because once I took an online course from Hillsdale, the crap hasn't stopped coming.  Larry, be forewarned, I want this stopped.

I  had sent them $100 for their "Imprimus" magazine, also good, but apparently that very thin bond lasts forever. I get fund raising letters, calendars, and PHONE CALLS constantly. This is a call out of Seatlle, WA, wishing me a Merry Christmas and could I send some more money??? We have no kids left at home to send and they are now becoming, officially, annoying.This has continued well beyond the 18 month "customer/business" bond, and Hillsdale is creating some very ill will for itself. Too bad. It's  a good college, but way overeager. Ohio State is just as bad.

Received the call about 1:20pm CST today, didn't answer.  The caller left a voicemail (it may have been a robocall, not sure) reminding me to turn in my absentee ballot request form (received in the mail last week) to vote by mail for the upcoming special election (Dec. 4, 2012) for a bond measure for IWCC.  I'm very politically active and am glad that they are making people aware of this upcoming election.  However, I already voted early in person at the county auditor's office.

Got a robo call and answered it long enough to hear the words "Iowa voters," and hung up. I rarely recieve unwanted calls but lately have gotten about three a day from different numbers.

The message left from this number was from Hillsdale College asking me to return a survey that had been sent out a few weeks ago.

We just got one of these calls, too, and I sent an email to the second link provided by JD above (Washington Utilities...).  I got a really nice email back immediately and part of what the lady wrote is, "We have determined the telephone number you reported as the source of the calls is owned by Pacific Telecom Communications Group (Pacific Telecom) located in Los Angeles, California. Pacific Telecom provides telephone numbers, many of which have 206 area codes, to subscribers. However, many of the subscribers who obtain the 206 telephone numbers from Pacific Telecom are not located in Washington State. Please report these calls to the Federal Trade Commission by filing a complaint online at www.donotcall.gov/default.aspx."

So, it probably doesn't help to complain to the State of Washington.  Just so you know.  I am going to complain to the website she included though - as I've done numerous times before for all the other calls.   Ugh.

Hang up call.  Caller ID displays 'DE SERV COM' with the above phone number.

No idea on the who or why of this hang up call.

Also in MA, also a political robocall. Pro tip to any politicians reading this: Robocalls don't work, your consultants are lying to you!

Yeah, right.  I don't think so, based on the other comments people have posted.

This telephone number belongs to Pacific Telecom Communications Group.  They are a public utility who is in the primary business of facilitating unsolicited telemarketing.

It was a recorded message from Hillsdale college, i've received crap in the mail from them too and I don't know how they got my name!

A recorded message relating to fund raising for some Seattle area college.  Said I would be receiving something in the mail.
