I recieved not 1 but 40 calls from this number today all with the same message...pay up or go to jail.
I spoke with the supposed supervisor Joseph Anderson who started a tring of profanity and threats against myself and my family. After the 40th time we turned the phone off. not good,because the work number they had was for the fire station I work at.
I called Advance America who they claim I owed the money to.they were very helpful and did some of the reporting work for me.

I HAVE HAD THE SAME PROBLEM, BUT HIS NAME IS "JOHN SMITH".....CALLED FROM 11AM - 230PM

A man called on this number called me asking for "Amy Wills". Not only am I not her, but I don't know anyone by that name or even a similar name. When I said that he asked me my name and said he was Officer Adam Smith calling from the FDIC and that he was investigating a serious insurance matter. He then asked me if I lived on a specific street in my small town. When I replied that I didn't and reiterated that I wasn't Amy Wills and would he please remove me from his calling list he got very insistent and then started this string a horrible profanity like some kind of switch had flipped. He said he would cut me, that he would lick my mother's pu**y, that he would come to my house and fu*k me and that I was a mother fuc*er and a son of a bi*ch. He then just started repeating that he was going to fu*k me like ten or more times in a row until I handed the phone to my husband, and then he kept saying it to him. He hung up in the middle of it and then called back another two times from different numbers. We've blocked him, but that was a bit unnerving.

i am FTC so do not comment on my number.

Called asking to speak to one of our teachers repeatedly - Has a VERY thick Indian accent - And when I tell him that she's unavailable and teaching he gets very loud and yells that he's from the FBI and they will arrest the teacher that she's under investigation for criminal activity and her social security number is compromised...  More annoying than anything else because I need to keep hanging up on him.. but the fact that they can try to scam people like this is ridiculous especially at their places of employment.

Repeated, harrassing phone calls at my place of employment. VERY thick indian accent. Legal action involving my ss#. wanted pesonal info verified. I refused and hung up . Keeps calling and using vulgar language.

Called from 200-000-0000 and left this number to call. Generic vm left saying a lawsuit is being filed against my social security number. Never once said anything that would identify me, only generic threats.

First, the 'policeman called, then the 'FBI' called. Finally, a person named David called who said he was from CLS Consolidation.  He demanded money from a 'pay day loan from two years' ago that I did not apply for nor receive.  He threatened me, my job and my family. He and his band of merry men call from different numbers throughout the day with the same heavy accents and rude, demanding messages. I blocked him from my cell phone. It is scary and annoying.  Scammers and threatmongers.

rec'd a call at work today nasty Indian sounding man named James Wilson said he was from FDIC and I owed someone money and was going to be arrested. Very threatening to mme.

stated that I was about to loose my job and something about a payday loan that I didn't even know the name of

I received a call from this guy who claims to be Hector Rodriquez from the Criminal Investigation of FDIC. He called my job and my cell phone. He stated that a law suite was going to brought against me for not paying an internet cash advance payday loan. I told him he had the wrong person. This man knew my address and where I work. He tried to get me to pay something. I advised him that I was going to call the police and hung up. So far, he has only called once.

these guys had a very heavy accent.  didnt speak english  good at all and i let them know.  same number that called me too.  they kept saying hang on ill transfer you but you could tell they werent transferring only passing the phone back and forth.  idiots!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  something has got to be done.

this number called my job posing as an officer james wilson.  the number they called from is 206-567-2982.  when i called the number back they answered yea....can i help you.  i asked who was speaking and they not very good english speaking guy said his name was hector rodriguez.  i said sorry wrong number and hung up.  he called right back and told my husband he was fbi.  i got on the phone and he told me there was a major complaint with advance cash company and i have a very big balance.  when i called it bs and a scam he got an attitude and very nasty.  i told him some very choice words and that i was calling the police.  he cussed me out and stated he was going to call my job again.  he sttd then we'll see.  they wanted me to verify vital information.  i refused.  he threatened my job and lively hood.  i dont take kind to these threats and take them very seriously.  i called the law and she came out and called the number back.  when they answered they sttd my name.  she sttd no this is officer -------- with the county pd.  who are you??  he told her she was lying and asked for the badge number.  she gave it to him and he still said she was lying.  she gave him her supervisors number to call and said call me back after you verify my information.  she hung up and waited.  he never called back.  she called him again after 5 minutes or so.  he didnt answer. the voicemail came on and she left the following message:  if you call this number again, i will locate you and issue a warrant for your arrest for impersonating an office among any other things that come about.  leave this person alone.   i dont know what this is or what they are about but i dont appreciate being threatened.  something needs to be dont about this immediately.  this is harassment!  who knows who else theyll call and who will fall for it and get hurt worse.  

This person claims to be an investigator with the FBI. He stated that his name is Hector Rodriquez. Okay he has a hispanic name with an Indian accent. Clue number one that its a scam.  He stated that my name, social security, and DL has been turned into their deparment and that criminal action is pending against me. This form of harrassment is crazy. The FBI would not call your phone. Cant these people get real jobs,

Heavy accent claiming to be "Daniel Smith" from the IRS. Now I know the IRS does not contact you this way and I know they don't answer their phones "What" so as I have run into several scammers in my past I recognize this as a scam. I must say when I receive these calls at work it does tend to "scare" you for a minute. But I e gotten a bit wise to them and as rude and ignorant as this person was...well lets just say most of the time legitimate people don't act quite this way.

I received at least 4 calls with 5 minutes on my cellphone. The person calling had a very heavy accent telling me that they had my SS# phone number and mailing address and if I did not return the call to 206-567-2892 and talk with a supervisor I would be reported. And hear is a question how do they know who the are calling when you have standard greeting on your phone,

This guy claimed to be Chaz Cramer, saying we will collect the money voluntarily or involuntarily but either way we will get it. so I said why don't you just go forward with legal action and get your money therefore stop harrassing me.. he says no, I no longer want your money I want your job so I will keep calling until you are fired! i was like ok bi*** keep calling then.  its like you are calling with a thick foreign accent how in the hell is your name chaz cramer you lying son of a bi***... nevertheless he has called approximately 90 times in the last hour and a half

We are having this exact same thing happen to us.  It is also associated with 772-418-8979 phone number.

I received the same call  by that caller name  nick anderson and he kept calling me at work and itold him the same thing that  he couldnt call me at work and that i would call him  back  but he was getting  annoyed because i didnt want to talk to his supervisor. I also asked him  what company i supposely owe money to  and they  said cashnet usa  i also asked him to give me the number so that i can  make arrange ments with them and they hang up on me.  I also looked up cashnetusa and i called them to let them  know that these scammers are using there company name to scam people.   i also asked them if i had an account with them and they said no. Please dont give out any personal information to these people

A Chris Thomas calls for an employee over and over and over again and again and again and won't stop.  Employees are not allowed to have phone calls during work.  They are harrassing the receptionist and won't stop.  They use multiple phone numbers and threaten also.

I agree, they call for someone at my work over and over and over again and again with multiple phone numbers and harrass me.  Employees can not have phone calls at work and these people, Chris Thomas and who knows who else won't stop!!!

i got the same call on my cellphone.  here's what i think it is.  first off, the caller is NOT from Seattle, area code 206.  Anyone can get a number with any area code you choose.  If you have applied for a payday loan or some other type of scam loan, they will have your contact information.  Most of the scam payday loan "companies" are just who you think they are, scam artists who had no other way of getting your work or personal number.  And c'mon, WHY would every one of these guys who ever calls be of Indian descent.  From what I know, no U.S. governmental agency has outsourced any part of it's function to India.  Folks, they are calling from a very poor part of north India called Ahmedabad.  Youtube has some very revealing stories on this specific problem.  Yes, there have been arrests made there busting several "call centers" and "founders" but they just keep popping up.  Its no excuse but when you have to eat cowshit, you're willing to do anything for $1.  These guys make the equivalent of $2 U.S. per day.  How they can speak any english, who know's.

Man with accent by the name of Nick Anderson keeps calling my job saying I owe Advance America 300.00 from july, 2011 well the devil is a lie. I called advance america with him on the phone to verify that he was lying and he put his so call supv on the phone.  well all he did was get his supv cursed out from A-Z and I told him if he calls my job one more time he will be sitting next to the last scammers that tried this game with me in jail for the next 17 yrs of his life

This number called my work saying I need to call Bryan Oconner at 2065672892 it was regarding my name and ss# so I call the number I said what company is this he said what's your name? I said what company is this? He said either u give me your name or hang up and I did.. This sounds like a scam company.. I have paid all my bills off last year so I owe nothing.. Be careful

I got a call at work from an Eric Johnson from this number. I don't owe anything and I don't know what they are talking about. When I get a call from these people and I look the number up and see it's a scam, I ignore the calls. It's just a nuisance when they call you at work. Which I don't know how they got the number.
