they call looking for my husband saying he didnt pay a payday loan... that doesnt even exist....

It's a collection agency. They call me about 9 times a day... its ok I have all the numbers the call me from programed into my phone and the ringer never goes off which is nice for someone whos in debt and recently lost thier job. I done told them at least a dozen times I lost my job, I have no money, stop calling me. When I get a job and a paycheck I'll call you... yeah right, they keep calling

They make me waitfor them to come on, then they ask for someone I do not know, never knew, and no one in my entire family (any and all) has that name. I have told them that and still they call several times a day!!!

Annoying.  Invasion of my privacy.

This number called my cell phone today 5 times once every hour. Didn't leave any messages. I shouldn't have anything with NCO or Capital one like others that have received this number calling

It's NCO Financial Systems, a large collection agency (often recognized as the worst agency for empowering illegal tactics) with various phone numbers across the nation -- even though their employees work offshore.  I inadvertently missed a payment with Capital One (my first EVER missed payment in the 12 years I've regularly used the card) and before the statement arrived, the calls from NCO did.  Not just to me, but to my work and my neighbors!  They called all day, all night (many times anonymously) and threatened to criminally prosecute me unless I paid the balance in full on the phone (note the illegal tactics used).  The calls continued well after I made a payment to Capital One that returned my account to good standing.  Calls to Capital One were fruitless, as Capital One itself now offshores its call centers.

I get calls from this number constantly.  I called capital one and my account is in good standing so this company is more than likely fraudulent and trying to get info.  Do not give them any information!!!  The first thing they asked for was my credit card number, so I complained instead and gave them nothing.  They gave me capital one's number.  Probably a back up for them when they get caught.

I got a call from this number on my cell phone.  An automatic message said that operators are busy and will get with me shortly.  Did not state what the call was about.  I hung up after waiting for a minute or so.  Anyone knows how to stop this?

hang up...called back...recording said conversation would be recorded...then dead air...and we do not have anything in collections...

Constant calls from this number and a few other #s from NCO and Capitol One.

I also was getting these calls, many times a day!
After a while, we just let them talk - They gave my husband an address to send the supposed money we owed (like we would do that!) Capitol One Bank  P.O.Box 71083  Charlotte NC 28272-1083  By the way we owe NO money to anyone and do not bank with Capitol One. They must think that we are stupid!

I was sick for a while and told them I had some issues and I would pay them when I could return to work and get a decent paycheck. They called my neighbors and my parents to embarrass me. 10 times a day they call. Lucky I have a silent button. Btw, dont just pay something on it, pay what you owe or they will blow your phone up til you pay all the extra fees. Cancelling as soon as I get my buying power down so it doesnt hurt my credit as bad. Dont get Chase or Cap One. BIG MISTAKE.

I get called from this number more then 5 times. Even as a late as 8. Im fed up with these people. They call when im at work. They are so annoying!!!!

I get these call everyday as well and they are crazy people who you can't understand.

I daily get calls from this company at all time of the day from different phone numbers. This is just the phone number from today. I know that I do not have any collection accounts and it cannot be identity theft because I use a credit monitoring service. When I answer I get dead air. I did have my resume on Monster and I've heard that is where they get your phone number. I took my info down from Monster and the calls have lessened, but I'm still programmed into their auto dialer so I get calls every few days.

My attorney has me keeping track of all the NCO Financial calls for definite litigation.  I should end up with a nice law suit and settlement.

I receive a call constantly from this number on my cell phone and that agrivates the heck out of me. I see from the post's that it is most likely a collection agency however I don't owe anyone anything so that's not the reason but I can't reach anyone at that number. Call Block has been the best invention of this century!

My wife keeps getting called from this number.  They say their from Capital One and want to confirm her account.  She doesn't have a Capital One account.  Sounds like fraud.

Getting this call 5 times a day. Finally called my service Comcast, and I have call screening service........so never will get the call again. It is blocked. But sure would like to know who the h--- this is and whats the deal!

I receive a call from this number every other day, and when I call back from the land line, I get no answer, so I called from my cell and finally got someone, they put my number through their database and said they had my number as being a lesley dotson as my neighbor, I said no that's not my neighbor and I don't even know that name!, they said they'd take me off and it'd talk 24 to 36 hours to do so. I took her name and ID #, if I don't get it taken off I'm calling that gal back!!

Woman caller sounded to be Asian and asked for "Brenda Hatley". She kept trying to get me to verify my number. I refused. I told her I would call the attorney general on her if she called again. She hung up.

CLOSE YOUR BANK ACCOUNTS AND MOVE YOUR MONEY TO A LOCAL CREDIT UNION, THEY CHARGE RESONABLE INTEREST ON CREDIT CARDS( 9.9% AT MINE) AND MOVE MONEY FROM YOUR SAVINGS TO CHECKING TO COVER AN OVERDRAFT IF YOU SCREW UP AND DON'T RIP YOU OFF FOR $39 FEE'S

I get more than 20 calls a day from this number, they don't leave message, they just hang up, they call my cell phone.

Thanks for the specific information.  You just helped me end months of daily harrassment!  They said my cell number was listed as a contact for one of my school roommates from over a decade ago!!  I really appreciate your post!
