WHICH IS THOUSANDS OF MILES FROM ME. I DO NOT KNOW ANYONE OUT THERE.NO MESSAGE WAS LEFT.

Not sure who or what this call was. The line was silent, though it seemed very much like one of those typical fake debt collection company scam calls. They're all the same; the innocuous seeming phone number with no name, just a location and a silent line. When these calls come, I find it best to pick up the phone but not answer. Within 5 seconds you should hear a click and then a little later it hangs up. It's something to do with the autodialer waiting to hear a noise....if it hears nothing, it hangs up and moves on and, all being well, marks your number as a dead number.

Though it might be massively wishful thinking on my behalf.

We used to get loads of these calls maybe 6 months ago, then they all just stopped, though this week they have started up again. Honestly, whoever it is, either ignore them or just tell them where to go. The usual rules apply: don't give any money or personal details.

Either way, this call (and all other like it) smacked of my old friends at The Civil Proceedings Division.
