They want your personal, checking account and cc information. Don't ever answer these calls with information
belonging to you.
Your wallet will thank you.
Don.

First of all, if you're in California, ALL robocalls are illegal, Do Not Call list or not, so what's unlawful isn't stopping these scumbags. And, more than likely the number showing in the ID is spoofed. But, if they do have an ID, best solution I have found is to route all my calls through VOIP that allows unlimited call blocking (I have Skype 3.8 and refuse to "upgrade" because it actually has a lot less functionality). After six years, I hear at least three calls a day get blocked (not ring through) -- often hearing dozens of attempts within seconds because the robodialer getting a busy signal thinks it just needs to keep trying LOL

This would depend on what phone service you use.
Joe Florence 2013-03-22 20:39:08 Unknown
They are not trying to make sales. They are trying to get your personal banking information and credit card numbers so they can steal from you. The numbers displayed are spoofed so you have no idea where they are calling from. For safety sake, always let your answering device pick up the call, even if you are home. If it is important, you can pick up. People casing homes use the scam of phoning and they know if you are home and answer your phone and then will know if you are not home since you did not answer your phone. If you ALWAYS monitor your calls, they never know if you are home or not. Always assume they are scammers and you will be better off. I forward calls during the day to another scammer's phone number so they can fight it out. I can still make outgoing calls and have my cell phone for others to reach me in an emergency (so far the scammers have not found my cell phone number).

03-22-13, 8:30 a.m.: These calls are so ridiculous; we get calls from many different numbers. We put a "counter" on the phone (a small device that shows how many times a certain number calls). We have not done anything with that yet, but collecting data. Something has to be done about these desperate telemarketers; they need to go after REAL JOBS and quit harassing the public with things we are not interested in at all! "We will call YOU if interested!" Get a REAL JOB and quit bugging every one else! Some of these calls could be coming from India, etc., who knows. If any of them are relevant to us they can leave a message; we quit picking up any calls we do not recognize. These calls are like flies landing on the plates at picnics=get the repellent out=DON'T ANSWER, let it go to voice mail if it is that important! These people are desperate for sales to make money and/or checking to see if any one is home for whatever reason, obviously.

*60 then what?
Goober 2013-03-20 22:16:27 Unknown
*60 allows you add numbers that can't call you, works great! I get far less calls now. Unfortunately it has a minimum of around 10 numbers.
katie 2013-03-14 10:45:37 Unknown
Unknown number to me.
Naina 2013-03-13 16:23:33 Unknown
The "Do Not Call" list is worthless! They call at 5:a.m. when I just fall asleep around 3:a.m.!
Larry Baugher 2013-03-13 14:39:38 Telemarketer
received two call this week, both at 0630 hrs. Some kind of insurance company. When you call the number back it is an answer machine and does not identify the company.
Dr Blues 2013-03-05 00:43:40 Unknown
This is the reason I never pick up calls unless I recognize the number on caller ID. Just got a call from this number, no message left. I always check these numbers on 800notes.com and 9 times out of 10 they are listed here.
Aguanga Cowboy 2013-02-26 00:35:11 Unknown
Same here when they just called right now.
J 2013-02-22 00:24:54 Unknown
No reply... It's a scam robocall probably!!! "Do not call" list is not working, don't waste your time.
Thia 2013-02-15 19:24:00 Unknown
No reply when I answered the phone.

Scam, recorded message blathering about life insurance and trying to get you to request a free quote. We're on the Do Not Call list.
