Got a call from this number. Since it said "ALARM SYSTEM", I answered "Thank you for calling ADT Security Services. How can I direct your call?" For some reason the caller hung up. Go figure.

This number keeps calling my house.  Caller ID says "Seattle, WA."  When I answer they hang up.  The "Do Not Call" registry is a bunch of crap.

I completely agree.  They should go after people who annoy you on the phone rather than having killed Usama bin Laden and continuing to pursue people who plant bombs and kill people en masse.

After all, what makes a few deaths in this country and others more important than your own personal protection against a few people ringing your phone at inconvenient times?

Call came in at 9:oopm trying to sell me an alarm system. I have repeatedly asked to be taken off their call list but this never works as I continue to get these annoying calls mostly late at night.

I am always receiving calls from this number! Every single week it is on my caller ID. The caller ID reads: Seattle WA and lists the number 206-473-0952. I never answer the call so I don't know who it is. I've blocked them several times but they seem to call from different numbers. I HATE these calls.

Not bad, but I have a better one. I use my fax machine, set the auto answer to like 5 rings, when a call comes in look at your caller ID and answer if you know who is calling and answer before the 5th ring. If the call is an unknown let the fax answer. a robo call machine will mark the number as a "data" number and remove your number from its list. (may have to do this a few times but it will give up) Just remember to shut the fax off when you are out of the house and want to get messages. has cut way down on call to my phone.

They get around the DOC and Cal. by not giving a rats butt about the law. Did you really think scamers follow the law? Not they are scamers!

I just got a call a min. ago. A lady said hello, I am Donna, and how are you. My wife picked up at the same time. I asked her what she wonted, and she hung up fast when she heart my wife picked up on the other line. If they wont to do a security system, I am a redneck and you know how we rednecks do a security system in the south!!

Not these security system jokers again. The company who is doing the calling is a telemarketing firm by the name of NACO, also known as Alarm Marketing Group, also known as Leads America. I know this because they called so many times I actually let them schedule an appointment to figure out who the company was. When the legitimate alarm company arrived, I told them the situation and they put me on the phone with the owner who apologized and then gave up the contact information to of the telemarketer. A few days before I filed the DNC call violation with my State DOJ so that i had a case number. I gave that to the security installer so he could give it to his boss to deal with their vendor. If you want these calls to decrease you have to go through this. These security companies don't know that they are hiring telemarketers who violate the list. Doing it this way discourages them from using telemarketing next time - it is all about cost, if you cost them money on bad leads they fire the telemarketing company and eventually the telemarketer goes out of business.

In California it is illegal to initiate a phone call with a recording. I don't know how they get around it. I'm on the Do Not Call list as well.

The reason they use an automated message is that it gets them around the "Do Not Call' law.  Automated messages were unheard of when they passed the law, so they are legit.  I am writing my Federal legislators asking that either they beef up the legislation, or eliminate the Do Not Call Registry entirely.  It is even more frustrating when you try to abide by the requirements of  the law in reporting, and they just keep coming at you.  Hour after Hour, Day after Day...even late night, weekends, and holidays.
