I just got a call from 206-855-5551 about 10 minutes ago telling me that I had won a free government grant for $7,000 and that it was a one time grant. The man asked me for my bank account information. I told him that I did not have an account but that I did have a pre-paid credit card, gave him that card number, as well as my social security number. He told me that the $7,000 would be deposited onto my prepaid credit card within 15 to 20 minutes after talking with him, he also gave me an account number and a routing number.I have tried calling the number that he gave me six times now and a machine keeps picking up and saying that the person you are trying to reach is unavailable. Should I have given him my social security number?

I was contacted by a male with a heavy accent informing me that I was randomly selected to receive $7000 in Federal Grant money. I asked why was I out of all people randomly selected? He responded by saying I have no criminal background, I've paid my taxes on time and I'm a good citizen. My response was yeah right so what do you need from me to give me this grant money. He stated this money is free and I don't have to pay it back. He asked for my bank, credit card or prepaid card information and I will receive the money within 10  mins. I gave him a prepaid I.C.E. card# that I have never use. I was not going to give my bank information. Next he gave me a confirmation # and advised me to contact a woman by the name of Jennifer Harris @ 206-855-5551. So I called the # first off she answered the phone as if it was not a business and she was at home resting. So I asked my I speak to Jennifer Harris she asked who's calling I advised her of my name and the claim # that I was given. She asked could I call back in the morning at 10a.m. I will not be calling back it is to close to Christmas for this mess. I thank God for wisdom.

Just cause somebody has your info don't mean they are legit. They must've gotten it through hacking or some spineless coward gave it to them. Welcome to the new age where info is being shared back and forth by the wrong people.

I just got a phone call from the same place telling me I had been chosen from the federal government to receive 7000 dollars that I would never have to pay back I then started asking A lot of questions and when I was not given the answers I wanted I asked to speak to a supervisor, when the "supervisor" came on the phone he also had very poor English and kept trying to convince me it was not a scam that I could just give them a pre paid card with a balance of zero and then transferred me back to the original person "Alexander Smith"I still thought it was a scam and I was not going to give my bank information after they continually tryed to it insist that this was not a scam I ask to be given all contact information from them and was.hung up on. I then called the 206-855-5551 number and got a woman who was also middle eastern and couldn't speak English. all the same loud background noise and when I asked who she was she also hung up on me.  I am so glad my mom taught me to always listen to my gut, and my gut had red flags flying all over the place! This is absolutely a scam!!!

I believe I just fell for this scam. I payed the security deposit and gave them my information, had a couple different confirmation codes, and then I talked to a guy claiming to be from the U.S. Federal ReserveBank. He told me that I had to pay more money for a bank to bank transfer fee, but that I will be reimbursed for all the money I pay out. So I am supposedly supposed to receive this $8080 within 10 minutes of the money transfer from a Western Union. Don't fall for the same thing! I'm lucky I didn't hae enough money for the second transaction or I would have paid it to get that money...

Hey Tawand, I just got the same call not even 5 minutes ago, as of the time I am writing this note. It was a lady also, asking me for my bank account information. When I failed to provide it and starting asking further question about their company, she give me a name (Jenefer Harris) and said this person is the grant manager in Washington DC responsible to process $7,000. for me. She avoided my questions by hanging up on me. I then called the number she gave: 206-855-5551 and it just rang forever, no answer. 5 minutes later, another lady called me back and said, "sorry I missed your call, I am returning your call. I was a little busy". Then I asked her, 'who do you want to talk to mam?' with no further response, she hang up.

If the US government wants to award grant to people who, according to the lady, have paid their taxes regularly, no criminal record, have not filed bankruptcy in the last six months, wouldn't the government do it in a more refined and organized way? First by post mail, then instruct you to complete the process online or something of the sort?????

This company has contacted me on several occassion and stated that I have been chosen to receive some free grant money they asked for my credit card information then later they asked me for a payment.  I asked the lady why would you request my credit card information to make a deposite to my account then turn back around and ask me for a payment when you say the money is FREE money from the government.
