Got a call from a 561 area code, offering up a prize. When I called back (3 times!) it went straight to voicemail, and identified the company as the Bridal Awards Center. Called back and haven't received a return call, but am so glad I googled the company name! My fiance and I just went to a bridal show this past weekend, so I was hopeful it was something legit... ah, well. Thanks for the head's up, all!

I didn't know what this message was for at first until I googled the company and found these posts. I'm glad I won't waste my time. Also, I have sent a few e-mails to company's regarding my wedding but none to David's Bridal.

I got a call from Allisa from 21st RP Bridal telling me I won something and to call her back aqt 631-271-2025 x 7543. I almost believed it since she called my cell phone which I have only given out to companies I have done buisness with. But I'm glad I looked it up. I will not be calling them back!

I just recieved this call too.  I spoke to my fiance and he said I should call the number to find out what it is all about. I spoke to the nice woman for a  few minutes and she said I would have to go to Howard Johnson Hotel in Newark, Delaware for a presentation and afterwards I would get my free gifts just for attending.  I actually thought about going.  $1000 in grocery coupons sounded good to me.  But too good to be true!!!   I called my mom and she said to go online to investigate and found this site.  So glad we did.  The number that called me in Delaware was 631-470-7339. Unbelievable

I had a message today. I called back because I had just entered a bunch of raffles at a local bridal expo. I was told I would get a 2night, 3day vacation package and $1000 in grocery coupons. I googled and boy have i read some horror stories. I won't be attending my 90minute meeting. I also called my local news, hopefully they will pick up the story to warn others. Keep posting girls! And Happy Wedding Planning! (PS. it seems to be a theme that people are contacted shortly after visiting David's Bridal)

When I got the message I had won a vacation I was so excited. I called back the number and they said I had won a 2 night, 3 day vacation and $1000 in grocery coupons. They said I had to attend a hour and 15 minute meeting on cooking wear and this was just their way of advetising, there was no obliagation to buy and I would recieve my prizes the same day. I set up the appointment at a Marriot, but was told someone would call me in the mornig to tell me what conference room it would be in. I thought this was wierd, like they didn't even have the room set yet. I also thought it was wierd because I didn't recognize RP Brides as a local company. I googled it and they do have a website. It shows all the cooking wear and there is a page all about the bridal prize package. There are also a ton of websites about how this is a scam. I read stories about a girl who didn't even go to the meeting and a year later had a colleciton agency calling her about a bill of over $700, some people went to the meeting and were pressured into buying $2-3000 in healthy pots and pans so thier family wouldn't get Alzhiemer's and they never even got thier trip. Others attended the meeting and didn't buy anything, but did pay a deposit on thier trip. When it came time to schedule thier trip, no dates were available. Seems they like to keep deposits. Most of the stories I found were from a few years ago and ripoffreport.com says they guarentee customer satisfaction, state Better Business Bureaus (BBBs) say the report is currently being updated. Some news channel in Pittsburgh did an investigation a few years back and apparently people were given their money back. Like I said though, most reports are from a few years ago, so I wonder if they are  up to thier old tricks again. I mean how many free vacations can a company really give away. And, how many phone numbers does a reputible company have. I thought I was bold enough to go to the meeting and just say, no, no, no to whatever they wanted me to buy, but now I am not so sure. I don't think it's worth the risk.  By the way, I think David's Bridal is to blame for my mishap. I could write another comment just as long as this one on how they have been terrible. If you want your planning to go smoothly, get out now. pay a little more and go to a different bridal shop.

I got a message from this number today and it was a lot like everyone else's. I also enter a contest from David's Bridal like a few of the other people so I feel like David's Bridal gave my number to this company which makes me very mad. I think I may contact David's Bridal with a complaint..

I got a call from RP Brides saying I had won a grocery card and a bridal vacation package. But I had to attend a cooking presentation at a local hotel in the area. However, they did not have the hotel information and said they would have to call me back the day of. They did call me back on the day of the presentation but I didn't answer.
Funny this is, my mom who also attended the bridal expo with me got the EXACT same 'winning' message today. The message also said she had won a grocery card and a bridal vacation package too. We must be one lucky family! This is such a scam!

This is for sure a SCAM! I missed the first phone call & a woman named Emma left a voice mail with a completely different phone number so then I just called back. The woman that had first answered said that the person I requested was on another call. Her name was Emma and promised me if I attended a convention/presentation I would receive a 3-day, 2-night vacation from 23 various locations. Also, some sort of $1000 grocery card. It's horrible how they attempt to scam newly engaged couples.

I have received a couple of phone calls from the 631-271-2025 number, which is local to me. This time, she (her name was something like Alaya) left me a message saying she was from the awards department and that I had won a bridal package and trip through a national contest and to call back soon as it was a limited offer. She then ended the message with "congratulations." After searching my brain to figure out what I had possibly entered and coming up empty, I decided to do an internet search, which led me here. Thanks so much to all of you who have shared your story. I will now call them back, tell them not to call me again and fill out the fraud claim. Like any of us need this right now! Good luck to all of you!

Just received a voicemail on my cell phone from Emma @ RT Brides advising me 'Congratulaions to you and your fiance!' And stated we have won a Bridal Package based on our trip to a bridal Show @ Mohegan Sun on Sunday the 28th, and to call her back at this number ASAP.
How do these people get this information? I am more upset with whoever released my cell phone number. What a joke!

I went to a bridal show a couple of weeks ago.  We are already booked so we didn't sign up for any sort of trips or venues.  Now Danea from RP Brides called from this number and left a voice mail about a "bridal package".  Any bets that they need a credit card number "to pay postage"?

I just received a call from RP Brides tonight.  They told me that I was entered through a bridal show that I attended (I had attended 2 and signed up on David's Bridal).  I was skeptical because she said I was in the top 5%!   What the heck does that mean?  I thought it was odd that 5 out of 100 people would win.  If you think about it, that's a lot of people.  I didn't catch her name, but she wanted me to meet her at a hotel about 5 minutes away from me.  It's actually a pretty nice hotel: Country Inn & Suites.  I was pretty excited at first because I am currently really low on cash. She called me around 7PM and wanted me to meet her with my fiance at 8:30PM that same day.  She said that they would be in a city about an hour and a half away from me tomorrow if I wanted to go tomorrow instead.  I'm glad I didn't go at all.  I don't have the patience for this!

21 Bridal showed up on my caller ID and I didn't answer until I heard the message from a woman named Sheena saying I had been selected and won a bridal gift. I picked up the phone before she finished and when I answered and said my name, she hung up. What gives!! Total scam... So I looked it up on the net and saw others had gone through the same thing.

I received a phone call from 21st Century RP Brides, but the phone number was 631-271-2025 and the lady I spoke to was named Marie. I told my husband about this and he told me to make sure it wasn't a scam. Apparently it is.

I got a call from 845-774-7201 and did not answer, but the message said I won a 3 day 2 night hotel stay and to call Donna at 845-782-6759.  I typed in the number to google because I am always leary about vague messages. I am glad I did.  Another number to look out for is 319-833-1308 or 319-274-1907. They always leave a mesage for Paul Tucker.  Does anyone know how to make these calls stop?

This company called me too.  However, I'm a wedding planner and I can't understand how they got my number.  They called asking for my bride and they said she might of put my number.  I asked my bride and she said she never gave my number unless it was a vendor we had a contract with.

SCARY!!!!

Kim called me and left a message on my cell to call her back about a great package that I could get. I called her back and spoke with someone else who said she would call me back. She called me back 5 minutes later and told me about a 3 day 2 night package at a four star hotel that would be paid for except airfare in 23 cities, like Orlando Panama City Cancun, etc. She said that it would be held at the Holiday Inn Express in Okemos and asked if it would be something I would be interested in attending, they would have a cooking presentation, complete with tastings and all I have to do is bring my fiance and we would get everything. I have had this offer before, but the invitation was mailed to me and it turned out to be okay, I just never used the vacation package because it expired after a year. So is this one legit or not?

This is so annoying!! I was excited for nothing! I got the call last night from "Jay Jay."  She left me a message saying I'd been selected for the bridal package and trip, but I hadn't entered anything of the sort.  I have been trying to call her back either thinking I actually won something or it was a scam, and there is no answer.  She even gave me an extension to enter but there's no way to enter one, it just keeps ringing.  I am so frustrated, I can't believe these people are actually telling engaged couples they won a trip! Oh well, I'm glad I went on this website to see that I am not alone!

I am just wondering as anyone followed through on these phone calls because I have revceived the same voice mail and have decided to go meet these people to see what its all about, A 90 min presentation to sit through is certaintly worth my time, if a free honey moon or grocery card is involved. I am just wondering if anyone has followed up on these calls, Because we all know how the internet can represent false info....
