Says my bank account froze
| aj 2011-06-06 20:42:21 Unknown |
Just got a text with this number that says my bank account was frozen. Actually this is the second time but I didn't know how to access my text messages the first time I received this message. But I know my account was not frozen when I received the initial message because I check it frequently. I will call the bank directly. This must be some kind of scam. DO NOT GIVE OUT YOUR BANK INFO.

Rec'd text msg on 1/25/2010 at 1:55 PM saying " customer issue. Wachovia service frozen. Please call 206-905-7795." Called my bank; it's a scam. This number originates in Washington State; they ask for your personal information. DO NOT CALL! Report to your bank, the Feds, and your State Attorney General Consumer Affairs Division.

I got the same message this last week. I went down the my bank to speek with the manager about this. We all understand it's not Wichovia sending the messages. But who gave my unlisted phone number to the bad guys and told them we where Wichovia customers??? I was told alot of stuff by Wichovia employees trying to explain this fact away. I was not comfortable with the answers, so I went ahead and closed all of my Wichovia accounts. I found a small bank with 5 locations, the service is better, the service fees are less, and they credit any ATM fees.

They ask for your account number, last 4 digits of your social, PIN number, and the numbers on your credit card. Its a number from Washington DC, or Washington State. I actually got a text from them saying it was from Wachovia and that my bank account had been frozen.

It is a fraud number! Do not give them any of your personal info. I just got out of the bank, had to open a new account.
