Same thing jus happened to my boyfriend a couple days ago from 202-621-0436 sayn that the government was giving him a grant for $7000 only thibg is he had to register an pay a $150.00 fee he even got a lady on the phone saying she was a supervisor an insisting that this was real at first we was believed it due to the hard time that were having now so yesterday he calls back from 206-905-9838 with a code number to the account that the money would be in we told him we havent made up our mind yet on going through with it so we did our research an found out it waals a scam thanks to this website an everyones comments so about 30min ago he calls saying today was his last day my boyfriend told him (John Parker) we kno its a scam an why would you do people like that especially when people is struggling then he cursed him out sayn f*** you an our scam has nothing to do with you lol my boyfriend said correrction it does have something to do with me if itsd my damn money then the indian caller said a whole lot of threats an hung up

I was contacted by By a guy saying that i was granted 7000 dollar grant and when i called the number @ 206-905-9828 i asked what kind a company is this and he said this is not a company this is the goverment and i told him if this is a fedral gov that if i call my local county police dept and have them call you and it is not a scam when i said that the person hung up on me so do not take any calls from this people

This  is a nother scam about Federal grant's Do yourself a favor and hang-up on them when they call they want you to spend money on a pre-paid card in order to get your grant money than when you don't get the money they ask you  for additional hundreds of dollars for the IRS and Bank transfer fee's and when you don't give up the money for the fee's they say there going to give the money to some charity in your name it's my guess they are the charity  I did this svcam because i had just recently applied for some grant's should of went with my gut feeling its similar to the 202-5808490 scam that calls and say there from HHS "Heath and Human Sevices" scam. that has DC address  Shame on these A-Holes.

I had a woman call me & told me that I was selected to be given a grant and to call Neil Thomas @ 206-905-9838. when she asked me if I wanted it in Cash,Visa,MC or transfered to my bank account I said give it to me in one of the selected cards. she urged me to call right away, I did so and got no answer just a busy signal.

Same exact scenario happened to my boyfriend. He then started cussing the guy out, saying he knew it was a scam. As soon as he did, the "federal agent" started using every English cuss word he knew, clearly negating any chance of him really working for the government. He then told my boyfriend to come to his office in DC, and he would teach him how to scam people too! Unbelievable! Then, he asked to talk to me, and when I got on the phone he said all of this was just an example of people trying to scam Americans and he just wanted to teach us a lesson. "Never forget this lesson as long as you live!" Wow, these people are a trip!

I was contacted by a woman identifying herself as an agent of the Federal Government.  She said that she was Katherine Miller with the Governtment Grants Department,and I had been selected to receive a 7000 dollar grant.  That I should call a Neil Thomas at 206-905-9838 to verify my information and receive my money today.    I did not call as it sounded a little bit "funny" to me.
