I have to thank craigslist for all thier little warnings in all thier emails because after a few from this "edwin moore" it finally clicked in my head as i got another email from craigslist after unposting an item. ya this person sent me the same email! thank-god i googled it and thanks for all these postings!

These idiots are still at it!!  I've deposited a $1600 for a $1300 item.  Of course, the check was not good & I had to foot the $5 fee, but have reported to numerous agencies including gmail & Craigslist.  I will keep leading this scammer on in hope of them getting caught.  After speaking to the local Police, they cannot do a thing...

This not the 1st time I got a reply like this.Someone,probaly the same person sent me a certifed check.I called the business listed.And someone there got thier info some how.I just sent this person an email back and told them I know it was nothing but a Scam.If I get anymore emails from them
I hope the law can track them down.

Got answer to ad in craigslist from this number.  Thought it seemed a little "off" - glad I googled it.  As far as I can tell they say they will pick up item, then send additional money for shipping - which will be more than the shipping - then want you to send them back money from your account.  Of course their check is going to be "bad" somehow, so you end up losing your money and the item you sold.

I got the same email from my Craigslist ad.  I suspected the scam and replied that I was onto him.

Received same message - First immediately after posting my items. Then follow up.  Thanks for info.

These are the e-mail I got today from Patrick Morgan. I responded to the first one then I got a second one a few hours later. It seemed like a scam to me right away.

I just got the same message a few hours ago.  It seemed suspicious so I googled the number and now I know why I was umcomfortable.

I got the same email, but without the phone number.

I got that same exact craigslist from him.  It's the third scam I've had for this car I'm trying to sell.  He hasn't called yet but he gave me that number to call in his email.  Went by the name of "Rolly_dan."

THIS IS THE EMAIL I GOT TO ON CRAIGSLIST WHEN I POSTED.  SCAMMER. BEWARE. I DONT KNOW WHO THIS PERSON IS BUT I AM GOING TO FIND OUT.

Got the same email today as all the above have posted.  Seems to me this person's only initial request to to "remove the item(s) from Craigslist and make them a favourte buyer"....

Perhaps this person has a beef with Craigslist?  I responded to this person's email and gave them my address and phone number, before I realized it was a scam.  I have placed the number in my cell phone and named it...SCAM....so if they ever call me I will know who is calling and just not answer.

This is the reply i got about 1 week after the initial email about buying the item i was selling.  Does any one know exactly what this is about?  All I know is that anyone who asks you to send money via Western Union is a SCAM...but its just weird how he's send me money in order to send someone else money.  Strange method.

I received same exact email in response to a Craigslist ad.  Going by the name of Edwin Moore.  Email was generated from edwinmoore1@gmail.com.  I have reported this to Craigslist and will be contacting Google as well to let them know this email address is trying to scam people.
