I believe charities and campaign calls are exempted form the do not call list.

I get the same call everyday  right about 6 pm. The few times I answered it , it was a very pushy firefighter fund collections. Told them I am on the "Do not Call" and he got very pissy about it. It shows up as "SSI" on caller ID and I just ignore them now.

this guy was a RUDE a** hole. didn't want to tell me anything. i called his number back and it doesn't work.

It's a company calling to get you to donate to their firefighters fund.  When I told them I was completely broke and to take me off their list the guy got all pissy and asked what he did wrong, and then hung up on me.  Jerks!  I choose which cause to donate to, no one is going to pressure me and say I "owe" it to them.   And I don't consider them a non-profit or charity, since they're getting paid to call by the firefighters.

I need to know for personal reasons if this company is legit. I was told to check with the BBB. The Burien fire department knew nothing about them---I was told they represent "King County Fire Department". The police said that there *are* legit companies who call for police and fire charity but couldn't promise that they're for real.

Please email with any information ASAP. Personal experience, if you've worked for them, etc.
