In February 2014, a person by the name of Michael Hawkins, 28, from Augusta Maine (perhaps Hallowell, specifically) was arrested and charged with three counts of gross sexual assault on a girl who was under age 14.

I googled mikes name because someone sent me a link on Facebook saying Ty were being victimized by this creep. I met him in a aa meeting and was stupid and nieve had just gotten out of a relationship and was valnirable, he had gotten my number from a friend by telling them he wanted to set me up with a woman sponser. He has sent me over 200 text a day telling my how god ha put me in his path and a bunch of bogus he also was addimet on me cutting all ties with my ex soon to be husband so that "we could start out lives together" once he started talking about trying to get me pregnant after knowin this guy for two weeks I knew something was wrong. He told me this huge story about his son and how he has this house in boothbay even went to the extent of showing me pictures I woke up to 112 texts from him this morning after telling him if he contacted me one more time I would call the police...it obviously didn't scare him away I live alone and have a 3 year old I'm terrified.

I wish I had seen these posts earlier. They are 100% accurate, as I just dealt with the same thing including the pictures of 'him and his son' and he even asked me for pictures. I actually gave him money (dumb, I know) because I felt bad that his son really needed it for medication and he said he would pay me right back. Needless to say, I'm never going to see the money and I hope to never see him. He does go by the name Mike Hawkins and seems to be a compulsive liar. He even kept saying things like "We can meet up and I will give you the money?" or.. "What's your address, I'll send it to you".... or "If I was such a bad guy, why would I be talking to you still?". BAD NEWS. Don't fall for his tricks.

I was on craiglist looking for a used vehicle and found an add for a 2001 Ford Windstar (search on Maine Craigslist 4/3/2013) and his phone number is attached to the add. I googled the phone number because the pictures of the van show it in a dealership parking lot and the ad is listed as a private owner. Please be advised that he may very well be using this as a ruse to LURE unsuspecting women!!!!

I was just searching craigslist under used vehicles and his number comes up attached under a 2001 ford windstar van. i googled the phone number because the van is pictured in a car dealer parking lot and i wanted to see if it was a dealership phone number and was very surprised to find these postings! So PLEASE BE AWARE THAT HE COULD BE TRYING TO LURE WOMEN THIS WAY!!!

the Guy you all are talking about I know him personally and until recently thought he was sober. he is a severe drug addict who just moved back to Portland I thought he had been being sober so I gave him my fb address an number then he started asking for me to take pics of myself. this is a sign of old business behavior. I would suggest reporting him. he can be dangerous

I have received at least six phone calls in the past two months from females that have been called by this Michael Maxwell.  His real name is Michael Hawkins and he is residing in the Portland area.  Denis I have two addresses for him now if you want to contact me on my cellphone.  For any other people having contact with Mr. Hawkins, tell him not to call you again, and immediately contact your local Police Department and inform them you have done so.  If he calls again after he has been advised by you not to do so he can be arrested for phone harrasment.  Do not under any circumstances meet with him or provide him with any financial information!!!!

Just got a text from this number as well claiming he had just moved back from CA blah blah blah I just told him he needs to lose my number before the cops get called lol

I just got a text from this guy. He was "confused" as to how he got my number. Claimed it was in his call log as an outgoing call from "like a week ago".

The SAME thing just happened to me.

It was all text messages and 'harmless' conversation. He wouldn't give up though. He tried calling once. And sent me pics of him and his 'son.'

"I just moved back to Portland from California" was his first line too. "I'm so confused" happened many times too.

He claimed he just swapped his phone over to an iPhone and my number came up as a '?'

Yeah he just hit me up too.  I looked his number up here before I replied.  Kinda fun to mess him up.  Probably be talking to the phone company tomorrow.  Anyone have anything weird afterward?  The first text I got was at 11:25 at night any similarities?

and am posting this got a call from this number asking who is this ? I called number and he hung up on me or couldn't hear me so I had husband call him and he hung up I texed him saying well ur number showed up on my ohone and asked whos this ...so who are u ..he texted back when I don't recall texting u so I haven't replyed but am going to call my cell phone company and report this number they might be able to track him
