Called stating he was from "WN services" and was calling about a survey I filled out about job opportunities in my local area. Told him I didn't fill out a survey and I already had a full time job. Disconnected. I said, "I figured you would hang up on me." Next time, I wont be so nice.

I also go tht same call as Skeptic and Sketched_Out.  It's a local Bangor number so That ticks me off!

Yea, these guys are scammers big time. They called me on a new cell number, i asked to be removed from call list,  the person on the other end tells me there is no call list to be removed from. Do these guys jusy call random blocks of numbers or something. They asked for my DOB/SS# i told the guy to pound sand to make a beach for his crabs and hung up.

I got the same call. It made sense to me as I am looking for work. The only personal information he asked for is my email address and what type of work I was looking for. Maybe I'm naive but it doesn't seem like they can get too far with just that information.

I just received a call from this number and nobody replied when I answered.  I had just been on the Indeed.com website.  Is that what triggers the call?

I got the exact same call as described above by skeptic.  It was very sketchy.  I didn't remember taking any survey, and when they started asking me for my personal information I said I was all set and hung up.  I was freaked out by the call which is why I looked it up.  Now I know without a doubt it was definitely a scam.  What still really concerns me is where they got my number from in the first place and what else they might be able to find out about me.

I received a call identical to that described by Lone Stranger above. I said it sounds like phishing to me, and ended the call.

I told them how wrong they were, how I did not know how they got my number and to never call it again! Here's hoping...

Received call i called back in french. they hung up called back with frenc speaker in ten minutes. scary hung up.

The pauses were probably to make it easier to lift your responses from the recording.  I'm hoping you never said the word yes, or anything that would substitute for it.  Such "cut and paste" recordings are used by slammers as a way of "proving" you agreed to something.

Be careful out there boys and girls, it isn't safe anymore.

Said they got my number from an online survey. I said that I did not recall taking any such online survey. Said they were calling to tell me about job opportunities I had said I was interested in (umm, no?), and that they just needed some personal information (RED FLAG!). Also said that the call would be monitored, so I said something noncommittal and hung up ASAP. Also, it was odd that after every response from me, the man on the other end had to pause a split second too long before he replied. Perhaps it's actually a recording

Never filled out any online job survey....and why would I wat them to call me if I did?
