Prerecorded call saying there was no problem with my credit card but I should call them for a lower rate. How is this not an illegal violation of the do not call list? Told my answering machine to press 1 to speak to operator and 2 to be removed. But asking to be removed is saying I was legally part of their system in the first place.

I am getting calls from that number too. Problem is, I don't even have am active credit card. I am sick of being called by these idiots.

Just say: "ello Gov'na!"
UK county code is what popped up for me. I said: "hello", but no one answered back. I didn't wait long though. Maybe I should have and played with them a bit. lol

I live in Maine, brother lives in Oklahoma. He called asking me if I called him from 207-934-9424? It was on his caller ID. I ran it with AT&T reverse look-up and this is what I came up with.

I get this call daily! I have 2 lines into my home and I get them on both lines!

Had the same call as above on my voicemail, they called back when I was
home. I pressed 1, the woman came on and asked "did you call to get a
lower interest rate today?" I said No, I called to ask you to take my
# off you're call list.... Before I could finish my sentence, I got a huge
sigh, followed by a click..

Pre-recorded call saying there was no problem with my credit card but I should ask them for a lower rate - how is this not an illegal unsolicited telemarketing call? They told my answering machine to press 1 for a live operator and 2 to be removed, but asking to be removed would be agreeing I was legally on their list in the first place.
