Called at 8:05PM asking for a party by name.  I said which one do you want there are two with that name.  I said give an age or last four of the social that you are looking for, one lives in the house and one doesn't.  He said the one that lives there.  I said "yea sure you have no idea who you really want" and hung up.  I then went and blocked there number.  

Bought a $60 phone blocker just for calls like this. Can block 800,888 & entire area codes as well as individual numbers. Won't let the first "ring" ring. Between the first and second ring, using caller I.D. ,checks to see if the number is on the blocked list and if it is, blocks any additional rings. Call away Acrobat... you're now blocked.... :)

How about you publish your home number, and we will call you and get that research done.

Of course, if we don't get a response, we will call you every couple of hours!1

Legitimate business identify themselves with something other than "Unknown Name".

I do not appreciate being contacted. I do not answer calls that I do not recognize, especially when it says "Out of Area" on my caller ID.

Got a call from this number the other day and only message left was someone saying "Hello" once then hung up upon realizing they reached a machine.  Came up on Calller ID as follows:

I got three calls in fifteen minutes early this morning.  Maybe they should spend the time it would take to leave a message on figuring out a way not to keep calling the same people over and over again.

we are a legit survey research firm headquartered in Cananda, we have a base in Maine and a QC center in Kenya.. on most surveys we do not leave messages due to the fact that in the time I leave you one voice message I could be calling 1-3 other people...

I've been getting calls from this number. At least 3 within the past week. They called again today (Sunday). I don't answer & they hang up when the answering machine picks up

No message left. I don't answer numbers that I don't know.

This happened 5 times in 3 days 5-8-09 through 5-10-09.

I never answer calls from unknown callers and no message was left

I was woken up this morning by a call from 454-4343 (area code wasn't even displayed on the ID).  I ignored the call as I always do when I don't recognize the number.  Two minutes later they called again, and once more I ignored it.  About ten minutes later, ANOTHER call!  No voicemails or anything.  What I'd like to know is how did they get my number? I agree with Andy that this could be considered harassment.  I'd like to obtain the employees personal phone numbers and call them several times an hour.  See how they like it.

Might be courteous to reset the time gap, don't you think?        At the present setting it could be considered harassment.    Hardly conducive to realistic customer satisfaction ratings.   Would you be content to be disturbed at two hourly intervals?

Well Everyone as an Employee of Acrobat Research I apoligize for the mulipule call daily but if theres no answer or we reach an answering machine the computer is set to call back in 2hours, and we are not telemarketing, we conduct simple customer satisifation surveys for mulitple companies, i.e Harris Bank, in the Chicago Area, Maritz Reseach, the Harris Poll, etc.. most calls only take 5 to 7 minutes of your time and are greatly appreciated, we do not EVER!!!! ask for money or bank account info, we do how ever on occasion offer you money for your time, look us up on the web @ www.acrobat-research.com

Call lasts for several rings then hangs up. Calls multiple times a day, almost every day.

This ACROBAT RSCH (telemarketer?) calls frequently - evening hours as well, and never leaves a message.  It gets frustrating.  They are persistent in their phone calls.

You likely do tech surveys for these guys if you get a call from them.
