They just called me with a new number on the caller ID. The last digit is 6 instead of 4. I can only assume they bought a whole block of numbers from the phone company and are cycling through the numbers as they get discovered.

As I've done a couple of times before, I went ahead and played along. Here is what I've found out from my last two calls:
CALL ONE:
Him: I understand you are interested in extending the warranty on your vehicle.
Me: YES, yes! <--with a senile old man's voice--
Him: What year make and model is your vehicle?
Me: It's...a 1987 Mitsubishi...1987.
Him:What model is that?
Me:Mighty Max (this was a real model by the way)
Him: A what?
Me: A MIGHTY MAX! mighty max that is.
Him:migh...(unintelligible)
Me:yes yes that's it.
Him:uh...you want to get a warranty on an...on that car?
Me: Yes, yes I do very much...I really need one?
Him:what's the mileage on that vehicle, sir?
Me:273,000 miles
Him: ooh, sir we can't warranty that...!
Me:Why not? Why not my nice truck?
Him:SIR, that vehicle has too many miles, we can't warranty that vehicle.
Me:Why not, don't you scam people with old vehicles?<--OOPS!--
Him:SIR, we don't scam anybody here! <--catching on---
Me:...but, but my vehicle....CLICK!
Me:Hello? are you there? I want to play some more...guess you don't a**hole.

RESULT:THEY HAVEN'T CALLED THAT NUMBER AGAIN
I'VE DONE THIS SEVERAL TIMES ON DIFFERENT NUMBERS so I won't bore you with the details of all the calls. But here is the rest of what I've found out:

On another call I imitated an Indian accent. I asked what vehicle they were calling about, because I had 3. Jeff, said that usually they would want the oldest. So I said they were all the same year. I gave him an '89 Mercedes knowing this would be on the old side, but tempting because of its make. When he asked the mileage I said 270k. Too high, THEY ONLY WARRANT VEHICLES UP TO 150,000 MILES. So, I offered a Volvo with 125k miles, same year of course. He went for it and started collecting info from me to pass it to his "WARRANTY SPECIALIST". I gave my name as Vippin Patel from zip 90210. I thought he'd start catching on at that point, but he didn't. I asked if the other guy was the closer for the scam. Still no reaction. I think he couldn't hear too well when someone with a heavy accent is talking. I don't think he started catching on until I commented under my breath to "keep recording, I got him". He put me on hold for his "specialist" and never came back on.

I wonder if they'll ever call that number back, or if they will black-ball yet another one of my numbers?

JEEEFFFF!!!, Jeff from warranty scam, where are you? I miss yanking your chain.

I'm all for a class action that will warn all these mother f***ers. I will create a site and email just for this purpose. We may never collect from these losers, but I bet the phone company will settle just to make it go away and not attract any more regulatory legislation in an election year, when politicians pander to any group.

Poor Joseph at Wildgate Services...He sounded postively worn out from all the calls he's gotten on this bunch of cowardly scam-artists.  Keep calling Wildgate and wear their butts out...and keep pressing "1" for the warranty-jerks.  If and when you get one of their pinhead, thief-agents on the line, get loud with them real fast...I mean really loud.  Eventually, they'll realize what worthless pieces of scum they really are.

These numbers have been coming up non stop on my cell. I never answer them and I guess it's a good thing. These are the numbers 916-219-8134, 973-643-8524 and 916-219-8133 also a couple of unavailables. I have a prepaid cell so I don't answer if I don't know the number. Costs me money! Just thought I would give a couple of the numbers that have been coming up on my phone.

Just got a Nevada call while dealing with this! # was 702-520-1338.Thanked them 4 calling, was told they were"provided" contacts. After telling him I had a 1990's Ford P/U how could I even hope to get coverage,it was the milage that excluded it,{past 200,000}.He then offerd to take me off the contact list due to this.It was the most friendly exchange yet on this matter.Don't want to be dissapointed, but hoping it stops calls from that number. Will try the same thing on next Calif. call. Can they get the drift? They would have to care first, and they don't when an easy buck is in it for them. All you can do is try telling them you've got a 1992 Ford Escort with 233,500 miles....sign me up...and see what happens!

Telemarketing is a #'s game.Who in thier right mind thinks an over called, ignored, and rudely treated cliant would buy the time of day from them? I think it's a local scam with new people constantly signing up for an "easy"
money making scam. The caller could even be paying for us on a list not knowing Joe Blow did the same thing yesterday.

Was contacted on 03/10/2008 at about 11:00 AM (EDT) on my cell phone from a slightly different phone number ((916) 219-8133).  I listened to the recording and punched the appropriate button to talk to a person so I could get to the bottom of this.  The woman who picked-up asked several vehicle-related questions and then asked for the mileage of the vehicle. I told her it was my wife's vehicle and I didn't know the mileage at that time.  The woman told me to get the current mileage and call back.  Before I could ask for her name (or who I should talk to when I called back), she abruptly hung-up on me.

Was again contacted a few minutes ago on my cell phone, but from this particular referenced phone number ((916) 219-8134).  I had quite a few specific questions in mind so I, again, punched the appropriate button to talk to someone.  However, my call was disconnected after about two (2) minutes so I was unable to speak to anyone.

I have been getting these calls for over 2 months now, and I'm also on the Do Not Call Registry; Every time I'd call them back or ask to talk w/ their supervisor, they refuse and hang up; every time I'd ask which company they're with, they tell me they'll call me back and refuse to disclose who they are;
The folling #s are the ones I've received and were shown on my caller id:
(603)214-3537 <--Caller id displays Direct Solutions (rep named Selene & Greg)
(916)219-8134 <--Caller id displays Cellular Call (rep named Selene- same person)
(603)214-3599 <--Caller id displays Cellular Call (same people)
(408)651-8146 <--Caller id displays Cellular Call (same people again)
(907)977-1905 <--Caller id displays Alaska Call (rep named Selene)
(408)531-6205 <--Caller id displays California Call (same rep named Selene)
(562)289-8146 <--Caller id displays Cellular Call (same people again)

I have heard so many things, from so many different people on here.. One says that the telemarketing firm's telephone service carrier is Freedom Ring Communications (D.B.A. Bay Ring Communications); I also hear it's called Total Marketing Solutions, etc etc.. We really need to come up with something fast!

What I was thinking, is this- one of us sign up for something, build some good rapport with one of the reps, get as much info as we can, then BANG!

Class action law suit? Yes, indeed!
FOR THOSE IN FAVOR OF A CLASS ACTION LAW SUIT, PLEASE EMAIL ME AT ALIKAT75W@GMAIL.COM
Then we'll all get together and sue this SH!T out of these idiots! :D

I received a letter from the Ohio Attorney General today- it's in response to Wildgate Wireless/Digitcom. Digitcom wrote back to the Attorney General and stated this:

"The phone numbers (603) 214-3683, (603) 214-3537, (408) 651-8146, (916) 219-8134, and (562) 289-8146 are not used to make phone calls. We supply these numbers to clients as ANI (Automated Number Identifiers)only, with the limitation and rules outlined below. When the call is actually made, the ANI typically appears in the caller ID box of the called party's telephone."

"Our client that displayed the (603) 214-3537, (408) 651-8146 and (562) 289-8146 ANI's for the calls in question is:
Stargate International, Inc.
Suite 5430, Apartado 0832-1276
World Trade Center
Panama City, Panama

and, our client that displayed the (603) 214-3683 and (916) 219-8134 ANI's for the calls in question is:
Voice Solutions
6391 76th Avenue
Pinellas Park, FL 33781."

They state that they only provide the ANI's and that's it. So, the companies in addition to Dish Network, National Dealers Warranty, and Surveycruise.com, are those mentioned above who actually MAKE the calls on behalf of these three major companies just mentioned. They also call on behalf of Direct Solutions (Executive Direct Solutions) and they are ALSO collectible! Meaning, once I file my lawsuit, I know exactly WHO to sue!

This is good info, guys.. use it!

any other questions, please drop me an email!

I've received calls from multiple phone numbers. The most recent was a 505 area code. I waited for the rep to come on the line and asked him to remove my cell number from their call list. He replied no and hung up on me. I did a reverse lookup on the number and it's registered to a Terry Martinez in Albuquerque, NM. I called the number back and it says it's not in service. Ugh!!!
