Ok, so...you wanna know how well that cease and desist order worked?  It worked for a week straight, now I'm getting calls from them every day, sometimes multiple times a day again.  Im calling the phone company back.

HAVE BEEN RECEIVING CALLS FROM 207-493-2006 SHOWN AS "SERVICE MESSAGE" WITH UNAVAILABLE NAME OF CALLER.  I HAVE  NOT ANSWERED THE CALLS  BECAUSE I WATCH MY  CALLER ID AND DO NOT ANSWER THIS TYPE OF CALL.

So far 2 phone calls from this number, on a Friday, one was at 645 am and other time was 0934. Latest message left a voice mail. But sounded giberish.

We just got a call from this number but they got our answering machine and hung up on it without leaving a message. The caller-ID listed it as coming from "SERVICE MESSAGE".
Time was 2:34 p.m. on Sep 7, 2011.
We are in Georgia, USA; our number is listed in the local phonebook; and we are on the National DoNot Call Registry.

The number is through Freedom Ring Communications who is related to BayRing COmmunications (thats the company who PROVIDES the line, not who is calling from it.  I called BayRing and they gave me the number to the compliance department.  It is 855-226-2444.  The guy pulled up the annoying number and said it was an overseas telelmarketing operation (imagine that) and that he is sending them a cease and desist letter today and the order will put my number in a hard filter to where even if the automatic dialer pops up my number, it WON'T dial it.  He said it takes about 48 hours for it to get all figured out.  CALL THE NUMBER FOR THE COMPLIANCE DEPARTMENT!

Have gotten THREE calls from this number JUST TODAY!  Its a different person each time and they all have a middle eastern accent.  They say they are calling from some medical company.  They ask for me by name.  They then ask if I'm afraid of falling in my home.  I tell them "NO, I'm 26 years old, Im not afraid of falling in my home.  Stop calling me!"  They then HANG UP on me and then call back 2 hours later.

This company, whose screen identifier was "SERVICE MESSAGE" called at 6:32 A.M.!!!!!!! When I returned the call, I got a voice recording saying, "Thank you for calling back. If you are not interested in receiving future calls regarding our special promotions, and would like to be placed on our do not call list, please press one. Please allow up to 72 hours to have your name removed from our preferred marketing list. Thank you and have a nice day."

I have complained to the National Don Not Call Registry, but I've been on it for more than four years now and reported more than fifty disturbances -- twenty for the same number (not this one) -- and never heard word one. Your FEDERAL TAX DOLLARS AT WORK!
