If you don't answer they might stop calling. They seem to be using an automatic dialer or something similar since they hang up without speaking most of the times. I did not answer one of these unwanted telemarketing automated calls, and my number seem to have been taken off the list three weeks later.
As another post mentions on this website, I wonder how they would react if one or several of their victims posted a man-seeking-woman ad (or the likes) with their number as a call back number! I also wonder what would happen if thousands would call that number at the same time. Would it block their lines? If no one does anything about it, perhaps we should. Just wish I knew what to do exactly.
Interesting enough the phone company allows this type of goings-on when it is supposed to be illegal! The phone company should be fined for not cancelling suspicious numbers making this type of unsollicited and annoying calls. -- FREE ENTERPRISE IS NOT HARASSMENT! --
I cannot use the Canadian DO-NOT-CALL list to complain about US numbers and vice-versa.
Because they apparently call from a Maine number does not mean that the company is in Maine... They could be using Internet phone and choose any area code they want.

Sick of getting nuisance calls on my cell phone from 207-493-2620 The caller interrupts legitimate calls via call waiting...calls at least once, sometimes up to 3 times a day....and if answered...dead air...and disconnect. Something needs to be done about this!

My experience is quite different. I got a call from this number last night. A woman was on the other end of the line and when I said "Hello", she said "Can I speak with Charlie"? I said no "there's no Charlie here" and she said "ok, sorry to bother you, thank you" and then hung up.

11-207-493-2620 keeps calling me with the promise of free cruise tickets if I complete a survey... obvioulsy a scam, but regardless of how many times I simply hang up, they keep calling back... at least 5 times in the last 30 days. These people are criminals and need to be stopped.

I have once gone through with the answering of their questions, then was called back by a live person who ultimately gave me all sorts of wonderful free travel things..... that is if I immediately gave them a $600 deposit. Since I turned it down, he asked me if I was prepared to let him give this fine offer to someone else. which I did.
Guess I am to blame for everyone else getting all these calls.... except they still call me, like today, twice, even though I am hoping to speak to a real live person once more, and naive man that I am hope to get him/her to take me off the phone list.

I am receiving calls from this number on a regular basis, but do not answer and they do not leave a voicemail. From feedback on the internet they are people calling to sell me something I believe the government sold the Do Not Call list and therefore we are now getting calls from all sorts of places.

This number is the cruise ship win a free bahamas cruise if you answer these 5 questions, this is your captain calling.... this number calls my place of work at l east once a day, I have tried many times to get them to remove the number from their list but they will just hang up with I request that to happen. The best thing to do is to answer the question, just press any number and you will get through to an operator who will ask your name. Speak very softly or whisper and they will turn up their volume to hear you, when they repeat the question, blow a loud whistle into the phone...revenge is sweet

Got the call and picked up.
The message said that I won 2 cruise tickets and i should press "1" to do a survey to win the tickets.
I just stayed on the line without pressing on the line and the machine just disconnected.

Just got a call today from 207-493-2620. have gotten several callS at other times from same number too but no message. Got a call today and as soon as l answered, got hung up. l live in Canada.
