I run a SOHO. I have two phone numbers, one for the business and one for the home (cell is out of range here anyway). I received a call from 207-493-2670 on the business line. I was at my desk so answered on the first ring. Almost before I could say anything a male voice appologized, "I think I have the wrong number" and hung up. Before I could hang up he same individual called the home number. I quickly answered it (expecting it to be my wife) and the same person said the same thing. The numbers are not consecutive--not even close. The only way the person could have called them right after each other is by having access to phone company records showing them to be part of the same account, which begs the question how he could have "called the wrong number". If it makes any difference, my numbers are served by ISDN. Maybe he was trying ISDNs looking for data access.
