Just received call from this number. They know my 1-st name. Male. I was away. My daughter received a call. Tony (Canada, Toronto area)

Answering service got the call, just noise in the background with someone keyboarding. Called it back says the number is temporarily out of service.

I get call from this # at least once a week and no messages are left either. It's really irratating!! I think it's a scam for real!!

This is not a collector. It is a scam to get your personal info. Report them to police

This annoying number keeps calling, at least once a day. There is no answering device on my phone, so it just rings and then eventually hangs up. I have never answered the call because it is from Boise, Idaho and I don't know anyone in that part of the country. Calling it back only net this: "This number is temporarily unavailable." Right. Unavailalbe for incoming, but available to harrass people daily. What is wrong with our country that information gets sold to anyone with a pulse and the money? I believe that insurance companies, mortgage companies/banks, auto clubs, anyone who gathers our personal info and where we have no choice but to give it to them to purchase insurance or whatever, sell lists of personal information to scammers masquerading as legit companies or survey businesses. I don't think they care as long as they get whatever payment from these flybynight outfits. I'm over it.

I just read on another site that there is a website called http://www.BlockTelemarketers.net that works really well for this sort of thing. I haven't tried it yet but I'm going to.

I believe this is a BILL COLLECTOR.  I say this because they asked for the person who had my number before I took it... which was 3 years ago!  I get those calls at least once a month from various places... collectors looking to collect from the deadbeat who once had this phone number.  I really dislike her inability to take care of her business as it constantly becomes MY problem telling these scum suckers to leave me alone.

Stop this number!!!  It appeared on cell and home and when I call back they say the number is not taking calls now...I resent this interruption!!!

Use caller ID and if you do not recognize the number ignore it and leave your answering machine on.  Eventually they will take you off their list.

I get these calls now and then and will caller ID I refuse to answer them and leave the answering machine on.  If it is important they will leave a message but they never do.

Missed call...but returning the call --> this number is currently unavailable message.

Calls multiple times a day..gives no name and I can't call back...Please stop these calls..

208 is the area code for Idaho, and 392 is found mostly in Bosie. Hopes this helps, (They just called, and when I called back no one answered or said anything)

I've never given my cell# to ANYONE but my friends,family, and my employer. Lately, I'm getting phone calls every ten to fifteen minutes a day from a person that know's my name. I got online, and found it was a telephone company from the State of Idaho. Well, I live on an Island, and we don't have service with this company. So, I was wondering, how in the HELL  these companies are able to get our information? Also, shouldn't there be laws against companies Badgering us? If anyone has an answer, PLEASE POST IT.

I'm fairly certain I can shed some light on this one. I started receiving calls (no message left) immediately after I signed up to a website to take surveys for rewards. It was offered at FaceBook in the Games App section for extra coins to play games..."just fill out a small survey and receive 2,500 in free coins to play toward your favorite game". I figured it was secure, as I was logged on to my fb acct, but, I learned the hard way. I am also getting calls from a strange number that shows only 5 or 6 digits. For example:  3-4567   Something similar to that.  Can't even look it up I don't think.
So....the question now is....HOW DO WE STOP THEM FROM BADGERING US????  If anyone has the answer to that, PLEASE POST IT.

Someone that sounded like an air-head girl called.  Knew my first name.  Said something about Education Services.  I told her I would pass.   The ID showed as Out-of-Area.   Called the number, and it rang but hung up.   I reported it to the scam number at the police department.

Is there any way to stop these calls from coming in? I don't have time for these shananigans.
