The calls are not *from* MCIMetro, but *through* its service. It's a carrier of the calls from the as yet unnamed dirty debt collector, which by the magic of Caller ID spoofing may or may not be dialing from Minnesota or Idaho or even North America. This thread has been running too long for anyone not to understand the call purpose. Maybe some external reading will help ....
FTC alert: "Fake Debt Collectors"

I am getting same calls from this number as well as 612/354-4076. I was able to trace that number to a company called McImetro Access Transmission services LLC. in Minneapolis Mn. They are both using a married name of mine from 17 years ago! When I call back as I am being threatened with getting served at my place of business, I keep being placed on hold unexpectantly when I give them my phone number as well as the case number they gave me, they have no record! If this is some kind of scam, I don't understand. Perhaps they are just harassing me? I have no idea, but I do not appreciate the scare tactics and the endless sudden holds.
MidNYteStorm 2014-03-10 23:58:00 Unknown
Would you like to try that again in normal English? Forget that idea. I doubt you know what normal is.
TSTEXGIRL 2014-03-10 23:31:50 Unknown
So if I called you and said I was putting litigation on you by phone would you believe me and pay me? Sure you would but then again you said it yourself do not listen to the net. Therefore, you should take your own advice as anyone with two cents will see this post as it is.
Idaho potato 2014-03-10 23:30:07 Unknown
You should be sued for the longest run on sentence ever and for listening to the net!
Tamianth 2014-03-10 23:25:53 Unknown
This has to be the shilliest post I've read today! Return to your home planet of Imashill.
DeletedMedia 2014-03-10 23:20:52 Unknown
?if you received this call there is someone filing litigtions you.?
It?s always an amusing proud boast- being glad to pay any idiot that unlawfully obtains and uses consumers phone numbers.
?just went to court yesterday?
I was wanting to get down to the ol? Courthouse today. Say, you just might be back there soon enough as defendant in an FTC case.
ShillKill 2014-03-10 23:06:46 Unknown
Hey shill, what planet are you from? Do you even believed what you just typed? Why would you believe someone who can't even spell basic words? Do you actually want us to believe you are a civilly minded person who just posted this information out of the kindness of your heart (as opposed to say a company employee who is planted vague but false information to deceive consumers)?
Hey, but prove me wrong an I will apologize! What is the name of the company that sued you? What type of court were you sued in ---- criminal, administrative, civil, or appellant? Inquiring minds want to know
Elspeth 2014-03-10 22:44:45 Unknown
WRONG - if you have a court case, guess what? You don't get a phone call or email, you get a visit from your local process server - and he doesn't call you ahead of time either! (In some cases, you get a court summons via mail - certified or registered - but still - NO CALL.) You can also check with your local courts to see if you are on the court schedule. This is a link about one of the "fake process server" scams going around:

Priscilla 2014-03-07 04:31:44 Unknown
This is a complete SCAM!!! They have left me 2 messages in the past 2 days saying you committed fraud and we have your social security & we are going to take action if you don't call back & we summons you before you respond. It is an automated machine & they don't even know your name. I called them and told them I reported them to the police, which I will be doing tonight. All of the comments I read were the same I have.

Got same call as yesterday. Plus a new call from a 610 area code. With a man saying im being charged with check fraud. Called my 90 yo grand mother my ex wife and my parents all with same message. Googled phone scams and found tons of these types of scams.
Carolyn 2014-03-07 01:04:36 Unknown
Got a second call, same message as yesterday. I called Capital One and reported it. If you have an account with Capital One, they instructed me to email the information and phone number to abuse@capitalone.com. They also told me to not talk to anyone at the 208-416-5419 number or give any information! It's a scam and Capital One is launching an investigation.
Christine 2014-03-06 22:03:27 Unknown
Got a call from 218-416-5419 woman saying this was a processing summons for fraud activity; will send summons to work or home and said something about our rights before receiving summons; they gave a case # and same number to call back. No company name. Does leave a voicemail but is automated. Blocked calls.
Melissa M 2014-03-06 21:55:55 Unknown
Got another call from these a***holes! Some automated voice telling me all of the same things you all have said. Funny, I don't have a Capitol one card nor have I ever. also when I called back no one answered and it just played music and then hung up on me. I'm going with its a scam... I feel like I would have gotten something in the mail giving me a notice if there was something I needed to take care of. Thanks for all the comments, made me feel better about it.

I also got a call (same as yesterday) and I have a brand new Capital One card, already made payment that's not due til 3/17/14 in February! Calling Capital One after work to report this.
Christy 2014-03-06 14:54:33 Unknown
Not only did I get a call but my mom did too for me from this number. When I called back I kept getting put on hold so I would hang up. Finally got a person who said this was connected with capital one and I had defaulted on my account etc. Funny since I had just gotten my bill in the mail!!! Going to call back and get more info of company name and call capital one. If anyone else has a credit card through then would suggest doing the same.
Donna baines 2014-03-06 02:04:14 Unknown

kj 2014-03-06 00:34:36 Unknown
This number called and left a message that sounded automated and said that there was fraudulent activity under my name and social. It gave me a case number, phone number to call back on, and said I would be receiving a summons, they also didn't leave a company name, APPEARS TO BE A SCAM!!!!

Got a call from this number just like Doctor Robert H described. Called my county sheriffs office and they have nothing with my name or ss#. They advised it to be a scam.
