I get hangups from this number. Caller ID shows "Caliber Research". I called Caliber Research (Not 208-758-0235) and spoke to the owner. He said that they have received many complaints from MN & NJ due to some other company that is spoofing their Caller ID name. The spoofers have been issued an Idaho telephone number which is also where the legitimate survey company Caliber Research is located. The owner Patrick McCabe said there is an investigation going on this and they are trying to get the telecom company that issued this phone number to provide info about the user of this number but they won't give it citing that it is "private client information". He said these spoofers / scammers are hurting everyone that is in the legitimate outbound call industry.

Too much BS to go through to report a number. WHat's the old addage, "No good deed goes unpunnished."

Same at the others have listed, unsolicited automated political survey asking if I was going to vote for someone for Mayor. My cell phone is for work, so I can't even vote in that city election. Very disruptive since I'm on-call and am required to answer my phone as part of my job.
Julie 2011-06-06 20:42:29 Unknown
Ordog, you said "Who knows who these people are - I do know that REAL political groups have REAL phone numbers and don't hide caller ID information. THIS IS A SCAM!! I worked in politics a bit, and we WANT you to have our name & numbers!"
** I'm wondering how you got the number - since you said they had "blocked call ID info"...just a question.
I just received a call from this number and the name: Caller: Data2010Rsrch and like the others said, it was an automated call. I said Hello, it responded with " are you registered to vote"? I said another Hello (louder just in case it was a REAL human being on the other end) it then stated they would call me later and I hung up. I, like most ppl hate these type of calls and I hate them so much I took the time to make up a lil so-called script to talk to these type of ppl....to mess with them/or the machine. Instead of being frustrated with it and becoming angry I make it a little fun (for me...yes I'm easily entertained)

Unsolicited "presumed political call" to my cellular phone. Robocall, voice prompt system of some sort with no way to put the number on a do-not-call list.

I keep getting calls from this number but no messages are left.
If it is important then they should leave a message.

I get a call about every two to three days from this number. I am about ready to disconnect my home phone as these anal orifices and their brothers call several times a day. I estimate at least 50% of all my calls are junk mail. While typing this I got another call from Patrick at Homeytel News.

I sent Nancy Pelosi an email stating how poor a job she was doing. I started getting these phone calls asking if I believed in socialism, European type health care, destruction of businesses, unions and re-distribution of wealth. I stated no and then a real person came on the line and we had a disagreement and she said it was to late - America has fundamentally changed and there is nothing we can do about it.

Is Obama doing a good job? Has the oil leak been stopped?

They have called my number 6 times and do not leave any messages. started receiving these calls on april 13th. The caller I>D. shows Coeur D Alen ID Assume the ID is Idaho. Getting tired of all these calls. Do not call my number does not stop them.

Calling my cell phone late hours of the evening time, I'm on the do not call list unsure of why this is happening.
Yoli 2011-06-06 20:42:29 Unknown
Got a call from this number to my cell phone. I answered and nobody was on the other side. What a chicken.
JK 2011-06-06 20:42:29 Unknown
Got a unsolicited call from this number. Very angry about the dramatic rise in these types of "probing" auto-dialed calls. My hunch is that they are telemarketers or other groups attempting to gather lists of valid phone numbers by brute-force dialing. I see no easy way to make it stop because I sometimes get important calls from numbers that I do not recognize or are not in my address book.

This is Huckpac.org. Mine was a recorded call asking questions on Illegal Immigration & asking if you will donate to the cause.
Umberto 2011-06-06 20:42:29 Unknown
An automated political call claiming to be for our local state congressman Rob Wittman (VA). I find it odd that my caller ID said the call was from Coeur d'Alene, Idaho. That's the only reason I picked up. It could have been an actual human! I hung up before the robot spat out twenty words.

We got a call back from the person about carpet cleaning. The person got nervous when we asked the name of the cleaning company. She wanted to know if we had vacuumed first. It seemed legit, but I didn't care. I didn't want to go through the hassle and told the person that we looked up the number and didn't want to have anything to do with them. She never called back, but I may have gotten a few automated calls from them. I picked up too quicked to get the caller ID.
JK seems to have the best guess. The calls seem so pointless, though. Why not actually sell something to make it worth their bother? It doesn't sound like they are staking out residences, as they call cells, and they have their own prefixs. The no-call list doesn't make a difference. The numbers are generated randomly and are probably called using a VOIP system - a computer (or person) originates the call on Internet. There's no phone number to track. It's just a new form of junk mail. Too bad that it's not as easy to dismiss.

who called me?
bluefoot 2011-06-06 20:42:29 Unknown
I just got my first Survey 2010 call; no way to opt out. They asked me to say yes or no to whether I owned a small dog. My response of "Screw you" didn't seem to register with their computers.
