16 june 2014 I received this call no message ??

Got 3 calls from 2087580625 (Idaho) today. Answered all 3. Nobody there. I can handle when they answer but when there is no response when I answer, I just don't understand. If this is a legitimate survey company, this methodology is not acceptable.

Recieved a call from this number today on my cell phone. Didn't answer, no message.

Called my number, I didn't recognize it .

They left a msg on my phone, it breathed.

Missed call no message. Have called before.

I received the call, but ignored it. It sounds like it is customer satisfaction for a call I made yesterday to the business.

As for Agnes who says you can just say "do not call" and hang up. It doesn't work. I've worked for a call centre when I was younger. This exact scenario was brought up. If that happens, you do not remove them from the list. Why? Because they can't identify whether you're the person being called.

If you don't want calls, just answer, and as soon as they start into their talking points (after asking for you), just say "can you please remove me from your calling list."

It's that easy.

If you do not want to receive follow-up calls, you can answer and say "DO NOT CALL" then hang up. Those working the call centre are obliged to type the words "Answered, said DO NOT CALL, and hung up" then save it to a disk that is then returned to the company for whom the survey is being conducted. However, that will apply only to whatever company is being represented at any given time. The survey company does not have that much control, since each questionnaire is on a separate disk. If they call on you behalf of yet another company, or even regarding another product that you had recently purchased, or whatnot, then you will have to make it clear to them again (and again). The best thing to do is to call up the companies on behalf of whom the survey company has called you and voice your complaint to them directly. The kids calling you have no idea who you are, and yelling at them just means you're an ignorant jerk who doesn't know how this works.

Survey companies carry out 'customer satisfaction' and 'public opinion' questionnaires for all kinds of other companies, as well as for the Government.  They can be based anywhere.  I had a job at a call centre in my teens with IPSOS, doing this sort of thing, and we would call all over Canada and the USA on behalf of anyone from General Motors (who, I must say, had very unhappy customers) to Rogers Cable services to the Government of Canada. The kids working the centre had no control over who was called, and the customer information (address, name, phone number) would come up randomly on the computer after a specific survey (or "questionnaire") disk was inserted. We read from a script, and everything you said in response was typed. It was a horrible job that paid above minimum wage because no one ever stayed at it for long. The actual people calling you have no idea who you are, and they could be calling on behalf of anyone with whom you'd recently dealt, if you gave that company your personal information in any way.

Got a call from this company.  They are called  SQM and they do market research based on you call with their clients.  I had to call my bank yesterday to resolve a complaint about something charged on my credit card.  They called on behalf of the bank to ask how my dealings were with my call to the bank.  Everything appears to have been legitimate even if they were calling from Idaho.

Called me as well...but I live in Northern Ontario, Canada & the number came up as SQM US Inc. Not sure why if they are a survey company for the US that they would call my number or where they would even get it from.

Just got a call from this #. There was a lot of static and background noise when I answered so I ended up hanging up.

I went to Harveys Hamburgers and on the back of the receipt it said fill out a survery online. 7 hours later I get a call from this number. I didn't answer it but it seems to be a survey company. I live in Canada and the call came to my cellphone from the USA so I didn't bother answering.

This SQM keeps calling, leaving no message. We don't answer calls we don't recognize. PLUS, we are on a NO-CALL list. What can be done about these unwanted calls????!!
