Hy guys, I'm from Italy and I received a ring from this number many minutes ago. When I answered, s\he hang up the phone. I think this might be a scam, so I blacklisted it! I put a room for rent on kijii too many months ago...

Thanks guys, I have been also receiving calls from this number(+2088167434), i am in Italy and  I also published on Kijiji for room rent! It's really weird, first he said he was in UK, and then after I could pick the phone and hear only music; but the sad thing is that it's costly.  I will never answer it again!

He or she keeps me calling for about 1-2 months. I wonder when this person will stop or when something is going to be done. I wish there would be any feature to block numbers, as it starts to piss me off.

P.S. I am from London.

same thing in Belgium... keeps calling every week since 2 months, I was never there to answer.

Had loads of calls from this number over a period of weeks, if I answer there is never a voice on other end!

I have been recieving calls from this number since 1 month.I dont answer but it keeps calling me.I have made a back ground check.What i found is these guys collect the numbers from classified websites (such as gumtree) and call the victims.All comment over internet are same which says no one speaks.Looks like its a automatic caller not a person.Also i believe its a paid service which starts charging you automatically or a software which collects your sensitive information from any smart phone.Just one thing to know about this number DO NOT ANSWER!!!!

They started to call me at +2088167434 about few weeks ago. I think they got my number from internet when I post some advertisment. I answered few time, they were either asking 'do you have room to rent' or just keep silent. I blocked this number on my phone, but they managed to change a new number! 002088167434. So I have to block this number again. Anyway, I don't think this is a UK number. I haven't check my bill yet, hope they don't cost me anything.
By the way, I heard these people now can use internet phone to call you with any number manuplated. So you may receive a call and the number displayed is your bank but actually they are scam. Don't disclose any information on phone!

Hi,I had one call from this number.I think it is scam.I was looking for a room to rent and they wanted me to transfer some money.After that I had a call but answer was only some mess.So just be aware this people are frauds.They stealing money on internet.

Incessant calling every day - this needs to stop

I also received a call from this number today. Nobody answered when I picked up the phone. I wondered from which country the number was and found this page. I´m from germany.

hmm, have looked up my billing, the strange thing is, there is no trace of this number on it, it only reads  "incoming call", though I can see the caller's number when the phone rings. the good news is, I haven't been charged for these calls, so I don't know what the trick is.It seems wird though that sb rings about different countries asking for a room/flat to rent, but from what I understand none of those conversations were conclusive. wird.

have received a few calls from this number recently. Sb called my business number, I run a B&B, so I actually answered the phone. Guy asked (in English, but with a foreign accent) about renting a room, but the conversation we had seemed awkward so I hung up after a minute or so. Hope that minute didn't cost me a fortune :( He called again twice that day, but I didn't pick up. Haven't heard from him for about a week or so,managed to forget all about it.  Have received a call just now. I picked up and disconnected right away before I even managed to hear the voice on the other side, beacuse I suddenly recalled there was something strange about this number. He hasn't tried to call again. Will check my billing to see how much it costed. If it turns out that I will have to pay for those calls I will definitely report it to the police. I'm from Poland,btw.

I think they'll get some benefit from these calls so it would make sense to report this incident to your phone operator to check whether there has been any fraud and if possible cancel any payment that our company is doing because of these calls

I've just got a call from this number. I'm from Italy and i have a published a post on ebay for a room to rent. I've heard some metallic sound. Kind of weird. Hope they don't bother me again!

I get two or three phonecalls from this number a week! when I answer its silent. Has anyone had any issues with their phone bills or anyone know how I can block it? Thanks in advance.

I've received the same call too, for the second time, just two minute ago. Picked up, no answer. I've published a post to rent a room some months ago.. it's very strange.

I've just received 2 calls from this same number. I'm from Spain, and I also had a room to rent...that's the connection. I couldn't answer and, after reading all what you posted, I won't answer...

I received a phone call from this number twice, yesterday and today (just after a phone call from a private number). I couldn't answer to any of them and when I rang back I heard a recorded message saying that the number did not exist. I am also renting a room, and live in Italy.
If anyone finds out who is calling, please write to us!
Anyway, I will neither answer to such a phone call any more, nor ring back, now that I have read your messages.
