Called me around noon on Saturday, Jan. 5. Automated speaker told me to press one to speak to a representative to lower my interest rates on credit cards. I don't carry a balance on any of my cards so I decided to speak to a rep and cancel my card with whatever company this was.
When I spoke to a live person, I asked why they were calling and he said "To lower your interest rates on your Visa or MasterCard."
"Which card specifically?" I asked.
Then the guy hung up.
