He still is puuling the scam using a 2005 Toyota Prius.
We went through the whole process and of emails until I was to send money and then I got hold of ebay to check on the actual transaction. It was not real.

Never sent him any money or gave him any personal information. 'If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is'...don't every forget that and live by it. I just kept emailing him, asking for more info. Knew it was a scam the entire time but wanted to waste his time. I doubt he/she is still using the Alex Frewerd alias. Also contacted the FTC and AutoTrader.

He is also selling an Infiniti QX56. I just received an email stating the car was in storage in Idaho. I thought it was strange that the Carfax add had disappeared and when I asked him about it he did not answer me directly. I'm glad I decided to google his name before proceeding with the purchase!! Thanks for putting the info out there.

Did you recover your money? we're having problems with him now!!!

Also tried selling an BMW X5, eBay Auto Protection scam, will claim the vehicle is in storage in Idaho and you will need to supply him with your name and address to get the account setup. He takes the car photos from legitimate auto dealer websites and buys a CarFax report, both of which he'll send in the email message. Notice the odometer pictures will be missing and the CarFax will not accurately reflect his claimed mileage. Also the AutoTrader classified ad will have been removed by the time he contacts you.
