They called my cell registered in Windsor, Ontario Canada. I did not answer - no message left.

I get the same calls. These call cost them almoust nothing but the persons time. If you want nothing and hang up they win. The key is to keep them on the phone as long as possible, then the cost goes up. Every few seconds is another call they could have made. If I have nothing to do I keep them on the phone as long as I can. I agree to everything and get details of everything until it's time to pay. Then I put them on hold to go get the payment. After a few of these unproductive 5-10 minute calls it will either become too unproductive to continue or they will get pissed with the people playing their own game and quit the job. If we all do it they will loose big money.

I won a free trip to Cancun.  They didn't even pronounce it correctly.  All I had to do was press 1.  I did nothing and it hangs up pretty quickly.  I think it may cost them money to call you since they don't leave much time.

wow i was just typing in the number to see where the area code was around to see if i could figure out if i knew anyond in that state but apparently more than just a few of you got a call from this number, i could of sworn i was on the "do not call list" good thing i dont answer any number i dont know "especailly" the restricted ones

I got a call from this number just now.. it's a recording in spanish that begins with a cash register ringing. Translated, the voice says "The cash register has just opened. You have one one thousand dollars. To recieve your money, press 1"

... weird. I didn't push 1 to see if it'd give me more options but it just hung up.

My wife and I both got calls from this number today on our cell phones. It was a recording in Spanish.

THANK GOD my cell plan covers unlimited incoming calls & my cellphone can restrict incoming calls. Go to "menu" - "settings" - "security", and the lock code is most likely the last four digits of your cell phone number. Then choose "call restrictions" - "restrict incoming call", then just type in their number. Whenever this number calls again, your cell phone won't even ring!

BTW, my cellphone is a Nokia, I don't know if this works for others as well.

one more thing, this number dialed me in the 401 area code at around 4pm Eastern time.

is it sequential?  post area codes that they dialed if you could.

Heard the phone ring in the other room, it had to wait.  No msg left from this number.

I called back, more than once, and got a msg saying that the person is unavailable right now, please try your call again.

just got a call on my cell from this #, which I just got with a new phone # a week ago.  I have only given my cell # out to about 3 people, so not sure how I can get spam calls...

Received a call from +2089911196.  Looks like the phone companies are running a scam to boost their revenues with these spurious calls.  I don't see anyone else benefitting from such a call.  Neither the caller nor the called.  Just the phone companies.

So, don't answer a call from an unknown number.

Called my cell phone, I answered and after 2 seconds of static/background noise, a recorded message came on in Spanish...which I don't understand.

I as well received the call, nor answered it.  to the person who said its on prepay phones not true i have a phone through us cell so its not just prepay not sure where they got the number but like most i NEVER answer an unknown number unless i'm expecting a call.  if its important they'll leave a message, but since they didn't not worth wasting my time over

Just got this call on my cell +209911196 @ 2:17pm CST - didn't answer, no msg.

I tried to call the company listed on Page 4, the number refered me to Level 3 communications.  After going through all the DAMN menues, I was able to talk to someone.  She refered me to 720-888-0012, Level 3's security dept.

I urge all of ya'll to call them and complain about +2089911196.  Perhaps then, L3 will pull the plug on them.

just got the call, too, in Spanish from 208-991-1196. Not the first time but I should know by now just to answer and click off immediately. Bunch of scammers.  THBBBBBbbbbTtttt!

Got a call from this number today at 10:24am.  Did not recognize it.  Area code 208 is Idaho.  Why am I getting calls on my cell from Idaho.

they leave a short message "press number 1 to recive your money"
