A Republican propaganda call which probably harvests your phone number for future money-raising if you answer all of their slanted questions the "right" way, but I didn't get that far. This stuff sails right past the do-not-call registry.

I have been getting calls from 208-991-1227 for sevral weeks now. If they answering machine picks up they leave no message. If I answer the call they hang up on me. After reading all of the above posts I don't know why they would even be calling me. I am not a registered voter.

I guess Ronny's little boy can't find work anywhere else. I answered the questions as a Democrat would. Hope it screws up their survey.
When ploiticians make laws for you and me, who do you think they exempt?

"Sandy" go to Judann on March 13, 2010 for your answer to Regan Question.

It should be illegal for calls to come from any lines that cannot be called back to. I've had three calls from this number already--You have no recourse--when you try to call back to ask that they remove your number, you get a busy signal. All automated calls should give the callee the capacity to phone back to request removal form the list. The first two were annoying, and I am sure the annoyance--and the number of calls--will increase.

No message. Called my house at 5:3I March 8, 2010. Was not home. Even if I am home, I do not answer my calls unless I recognize caller on the ID. I figure if somebody wants to talk to me that badly, they will leave a message. Getting ready to block this number on my phone. Caller ID is the best invention since sliced bread. Have blocked many numbers in the last year and find out after a while, they quit calling. If they start back, I'll block their a** again. Maybe I can't stop the calls, but at least I don't have to listen to a sob story from some SOB who is nothing but a paid professional fund raiser!

Political recorded call, no message.
Reported to the FTC and if I find out who they are supporting I will go out of my way to do just the opposite

As for Michael Reagan, his website states that he did not authorize the use of his name on these calls. I doubt seriously that his progressive brother, Ron, did either.

The call I recieved said it was from Ron Reagan, son of President Reagan. It said that President Obama had campainged to lift all restrictions on abortion and health insurance bill would raise my taxes to pay for abortion.

Got a call from this number claiming to be from Michael Reagan through the Americans in Contact PAC. Turns out it was a push poll lying about abortion in the health care reform bill. I answered no to all their questions, with the exception of the ones asking if I was a registered voter and if I was male.

I believe the calls are exempt UNTIL you ask to be taken off their call lists. Then the game's changed. At that point, they are required to put your name on their Do Not Call list. Most organizations then state that it may take 24 hours, 1 week or 30 days to remove your information, however, I've personally found that to be untrue. I keep calling their organization and ask to speak to a supervisor until they tell me it's been removed. I'm a technical person and the process should take no more than a couple of minutes if you push the issue.
Fight back -- it's YOUR home!

I am on the no-call registry... however, this b*****ds to continue calling with surveys, solicitations... wrong numbers, etc., etc. PLEASE LEAVE ME ALONE DON'T NEED POLITICAL MORONS CALLING AND POLITICIANS ALREADY HAVE THE COUNTY UPSIDE-DOWN... THOSE ELECTED TO WASHINGTON SHOULD NOT BE IN OFFICE MORE THAN TWO TERMS... any life term in office is dictatorship and the bottom lines is corruption... Indeed, we have more corrupted politician in Washington than those honest folks that voted for those deceiving politicians...

Got this call several times know. Am I a Tea Party "Patriot"?. Do I support Sarah Palin?. I don't mind doing legitimate polling but this push polling stuff is terrible from either liberals or conservatives. And what does being in the Tea Party have to do with being a "Patriot"? Total push poll.

Obnoxious push poll by Michael Reagan!!! I hate these stupid things!!! Check the 'Do Not Call List' next time!!!

political calls are exempt from the do not call list. you can complain to the attorney general and it won't do you any good. they are within the boundaries of the law. i should know. i work with the researchers and it is ok. just tell them you are not interested and it should be all you have to do. i do them, but the telemarketers i have had to ask for a supervisor and then they take action.
| deni269 2010-03-12 00:22:50 Unknown |
surveys are exempt, solicitations, except with businesses that you do business with, are not.
| deni269 2010-03-12 00:20:30 Unknown |
i really hope that the "boiler rooms" you are talking about are not researchers. i work in market research and i will have to ask the grandmothers and great grandmothers and disabled and the disabled vets and the paraplegics and all where all their body piercings and tattoos are. i haven't seen them yet and i have been there over 12 years. i have 4 tats and each ear pierced once so i guess i am included in your generalization, but there are more than 2 kinds of people exempt from the do not call list and all anyone has to do is read it to find this out.
