I find some of the remarks posted about these ?faux telemarketer calls? amusing.  I put together a software program that has logged over 380 of these annoyance calls since 2012.  Those of you that let the calls roll to your answering machine, voicemail or worse yet answered the call you have just ensured you will get another of these calls.  Maybe not from the same number, but they?ve just identified your number as valid and passed it on.  Most of the initial calls originate from software (aka; ?robocalls?) ? once your number is identified as active, then a person may be there on the follow up calls.  If you have the capability to ?block? the number that called ? that is the best action.  If you don?t have a blocking option, keep a phone with caller ID close by and simply hit ?talk? and ?off? simultaneously.  If you really want to block them ? there is reasonably priced software that a layman can install.  Of the 380 calls I?ve blocked, only 16 have been in the last 6 months.  So the message is simple ? blocking works?.

Called 9:45 AM, 4/30/2014.  Not home to answer.  No message left.

Did not answer - calls repeatedly.  Used ATT last number redial block feature and number came up as a private number.  So number on caller id is a spoof numer.

Leonard call my home about 20 minutes ago, offering free groceries, gas card and other desultory scams. 'Shaniqua' kept him on the line for about 3 minutes as he attempted to talk over the various touch tones of my handset.

I had two of these today: The one from 404-291-3849 got through on my cell. The one from 209-220-4017 that came in on the home phone got nipped after the first ring by NoMorobo.com

Please stop these irratating phone calls!!!

Thanks for the posts, We know those calls are made for fraud on me, on you, on the others, This is a wake up call to hung up the phone to suspicious unknown calls, We have to apply iron fist against the abusive telemarketers.

Senior Alert scam!  I received another Urgent call last week under (458) 201-1153.  I don't pick up unknown calls or ones with bogus caller ID names.

The ONLY purpose in the medic alert for seniors scammer's calls to us, is to get our credit card numbers, so they can cheat us!

Just got a call  myself a few minutes ago, didn't answer. Caller ID said URGENT. Ridiculous! What's that "3 tone phone company line disconnected message" you speak of? I'd like to try that myself, getting really sick of these idiots. Just re-entered my phone number on the do not call list a few months ago too. Funny, it worked great the first time I did it about 15 years ago. Held up all this time, until this administration showed up. Hmmmm.....

I picked up on the call but played them the 3 tone phone company line disconnected message.  Perhaps their predictive dialer is more intelligent than their associates and will flag my number as invalid.  Sometimes miracles do happen.

I JUST RECIEVED MY FIRST,...."Urgent "...CALL.....The Scum Bags .....Must really think we are all stupid....Who ,Who I ask you would have 'Urgent' as part of their Phone Number......My phone is always answered by my Machine......Most of the SCAM Calls leave no message....They like to AMBUSH....and it won't work with me................

Calls comes across on caller ID as Urgent.  Obviously not urgent enough to leave a voice mail.  Thank goodness for caller ID.  Gets irritating all these scammers.

Medic alert scam, using URGENT as a caller ID to trick unsuspecting and unsophisticated senior citizens. Someone catch them and II'll supply the ammo if someone else pulls the trigger.
