Received a call from this number and, when I answered, there was a recording asking me to hang on while they connected me to a representative. I hung up.

I got a call and a man told me to hold the line while he connected me and not to hang up - I asked who was calling and he restated to hold on while I got connected - I said I was hanging up and he again asked me not to do that and said I would be connected. I said I would hang up unless he could tell me who was calling and he did not answer - so I hung up. Searched the number and it came up as Verizon...weird

This number has called me many many times. It is registered to Verizon. When I answer someone tells me to wait while I'm being connected. Once "connected" then caller starts asking questions. I believe it concerned education. If I say anything the guy keeps talking over me. I hang up and report them.
