This guy was Indian alright. This time it's Steve Adams with some law firm talking about a class-action suit. What a waste of time.

I received a call today from 209-437-2723, heavy indian accent.Saying that I rcvd a payday loan for $5000 in December of 2010. and if I don't start making payments. The legal department will contact my place of employment. I have no clue what to do. But do know that I did apply for a cash advance and it was approved but I told them I'm not interested in taking it. I'm so upset don't know what to do.

Same type call.  Very heavy accent, almost unintelligible.  Left a threatening message.  There has to be a way to stop these people.

Some guy - yes, heavy accent and all -  called today but the number displayed on my cell phone (the nerve!) was 0000.  I didn't get to the phone in time to answer so the call went to voicemail. He left a loud, long, and rude message that was mostly unintelligible except some key phrases.  "Legal department",  "we have your SSN", "if I don't hear from you".  He left the 209 # for me to call him back. Today was not his first call to me - I recognized the voice. The first call came about 30 days after I went to an online cash advance website. I didn't take the advance even though it was approved. This guy mentioned an overdue payment for a loan and threatened an arrest if I didn't call him back with payment arrangements. I don't know if he's an agent of the payday loan people or has his own scam business but I know he's a criminal and I hope no one responds to his threats with money. I want him exposed, fined, and detained by law enforcement.

This guy with a thick indian accent called, screaming and yelling that I have a legal suit for internet fraud for taking out a loan that I never paid back.  He half gave a company name, but no real information.  I applied for one, but never received word that it was approved, plus I didn't take one anyway.  He is threatening to call my job, which of course, I informed by HR department of this fraudalent call.  When I called the number back to get information he just kept getting more and more rude.

I have been recieving these phone calls, three so far and threating ones to !!! I am filing a police report, I have cancel my cards and am getting news and have also change my bank account to be safe . I am a little relaxed reading this page though knowing that none of this is true . I will let you all know if the police can do anything

I received a message on my cell phone demanding that my legal representation or myself call this number. l called back and the number was busy.  When I did get through they said they were an agency that was pressing 3 charges against me due to a cash advance that was not paid back.  They said one was fraud, another was receiving a black mark against my ss number.  They said I had to report to court in CA and that I would have to pay 3,000 if I was found guilty.  Just like others have said, the man Mr. Jones said that a sheriff would be serving the papers to my home or place of work.  I called my bank and they advised me to research this number.  This is a ridiculous scam and these people need to be stopped!!!!  What can we do about this??????

I keep receiveing calls from this number as welll. Very thick Indian accents, guy says he is from the Legal Department and that he is calling regarding a loan. He asks if I have an attorney and if he can speak with him. When I asked him what company he was calling from he wouldn't answer me and then hung up. When we would try to call the number back, it wouldn't go through and then it was like the number didn't exist. How do we get the calls to stop?

I recelived a call identifiying himself as Att Daniel Paige.  He stated he needed to speak to my attorney and only my attorney.  I asked where he was calling from and he wouldn't give me any information.  He had a very heavy India Accent.  He threatened me.  I did manage to get his phone number and that he was located in CA, but I don't believe that.  He gave me the number 209-437-2723.  I asked what his name was and he said he was Daniel Paige and I said I doubt that since you said you were calling on behalf of his office.  I want these calls to stop.  He is calling my home, cell and work and harassing my coworkers when they answer the phone.

They called saying that I haven't started paying back my loan yet.  The thing is that I never took out a loan.  I applied for one a few months ago, but then decided against it.  The guy says his name is Peter Jones, but he has a very think Indian accent.
