They also seem to do business as "Performant Recovery, Inc.", which has an A+ rating from the BBB.
BUT, a company with the name, "Diversified Collection Services, Inc" has NO rating from the BBB.

She's legit. As Irriate4077 already stated DCS is a collection agency for government debts. I have one and am working with her. I was leery at first but after she provided the information connected to my service (Navy) debt, she proved legit. Being in debt sucks, but being a debt collector must suck even worse. I pay my payments on time and extra when I can. I lost her number and am actually found this site and her number. I have an extra payment to make. Its my penultimate payment!! :)

SOME FREAK CALLED ME AS WELL FROM THIS #, AT MY PLACE OF BUSINESS.  WHEN I TOLD HER I WAS THE OWNER OF THE COMPANY AND THERE IS NO SUPERVISOR ABOVE ME, SHE HUNG UP ON ME......

Hi all. I did a reverse look up for this number using US Search. Since this number was calling my neighbors looking for me, I figured the $15.00 to find out who it is was worth it. For anyone interested, this number is registered to Incorp Skipper DSC located in Tampa, FL. This is interesting since doing minimal internet research indicates that the # (209-858-3626) is a land line located in Manteca, CA. The address of Incorp Skipper DCS is 929 Henderson Ave., Tampa, FL 33605. I've yet to locate more information about this business online, but am still trying. I checked Google street view to see if an image was available of the address, but its not. I found an aerial view of the street address. Looks like a bunch of apartments. All available, listed phone numbers and addresses for this street address are home phone #s and addresses. I suppose US Search could have the wrong information, but it certainly doesn't look like there would have been a legit. business at this address at any time in the recent past. I submitted a complaint about the harassment to the BBB, but have not received a reply. Perhaps if additional complaints are received....

I got a call from DCS Inc looking for a Phyllis or Tyler. I asked the lady her name and she said she could not tell me that info that she need to locate and or speak with Phyllis or Tyler right away.
I explained, I do not know a Phyllis or Tyler, she then ask me my name and I said well if you called me then you should know my name it's listed with my phone number, she thanked me and hing up abruptly before I could interigate(?) her more and then give her a good tongue lashing.
The numer that came up on my caller ID was 209-858-.3500.

I just received a call from Crystal Saavedra, looking for my neighbor.  Said she found that we were her neighbor and asked if I could get this message to her.  She gave her return number as 209-858-3712.  My caller Id shows the caller from DSC Inc at 209-858-3500.  What kind of scam is this?  What is this about?  Should I be concerned?

Just wanted to post a comment after reading the previous ones...I came to this page after searching for "Skipper DCS" and found all your comments.  My call came from a different # (541-955-7800), which is from Grants Pass, OR, but is registered to Skipper DCS in Tampa, FL.  They wanted to speak to my ex-husband, who does not live here, and when I said he was not here, they hung up.  I am guessing this company must be some kind of info-gathering type, but sounds like even though they have many locations, must be a legitimate business of come kind, but one I'm highly suspect about.

This lady called my house and left a message stating her name Rosalyn. I called the number back and she wanted my neighbors number claiming he works at the local school.  I kindly told her...if he works at the local/public school doesnt it make sense to call the freakin school and not my house...

The same lady, Rosalyn, just called my apartment phone. Oddly I have no idea who this person is, but she knew my first and last name. She went on about how she was trying to contact a guy named Philip, who lives in the same building as me, and I told her I did not know the person nor how to reach him. So I gave her the number to the complex office. What's up with this??

209 858 3712 keeps ringing my cell phone looking for my Dad.  When I had him call back she immediatley asks for his social security number.  When he refused to give it she got rude and he hung up.  I think this is some kind of scam company trying to steal money or personal information.  She would not say what company she was with and only that it was a "personal matter".
Beware....

We got a call, similar to above from 209-858-3712 asking we could get our neighbors phone number. The person gave us the name Crystal Saavedra in California and to call her back at 1-800-866-5317 ext. 3712. She stressed urgency and that it was about a personal matter. the caller ID shows DCS as the name to 209-858-3712.
Indeed, beware.

Crystal Saavedra called my residence and proceeded to interrogate my 9yr old son in attempts to receive personal information about me.  She also asked him his name, age, grade and what school he attended.  Shortly thereafter she called my place of employment and interrogated my supervisor as well!

DCS probably stands for "Debt Collection Service"

I just looked into this further, the company she works for is Diversified Collection Services.  They provided Debt Collection for Government Debts.  The secondary number she gave to my neighbor was 888-310-2006.  I dont recommend ignoring this company's calls.

This lady has called all my neighbors, my wifes work, my landlord, and who knows who else.  She claims I owe her company money, but refuses to send me a bill for proof.  It's a scam, and makes your life uncomfortable by contacting everyone in your local area, making it sound like your incapable of paying your bills.

Correction: That's DCS not DSC.

This person called saying she was trying to locate a Nicole who lived down the street from me.  When I told her I was unaware of such a person she stated that I may know her by the name Margaret.  I felt uneasy about this call and retrieved the number and decided to check on line and look what I found.  Thanks to all who posted a comment.

Just got the same message....I called back but I did not leave my SS #...what do these people think we are stupid.......I am going to find out who she is...and I will let you know...Tired of telemarketers....

Be careful do your research see what they have to say you coul get in more trouble for just blowing it off I know

The lady called my neighbor looking for me!  The neighbor delivered the phone message and I decided to check the number - must be a scam!  Thanks for the website.

Left message.  Only stated her name "Rosalind" and asked that I call back.  When called back, her phone message said "Hi you're reached Rosalind Glancy I'm not available to take your call but Please leave your name, the social security number on your account your telephone number with area code and a brief message and I'll return your call as soon as I can.  Thanks and have a nice day"  No identification of any kind on who they are.  NEVER GIVE YOUR SOCIAL SECURITY NUMBER TO ANYONE!!!
