A chunk of my loans were paid in full and I carry one that only costs me $50.00 a month which is paid through April of this year. So they aren't calling from Sallie Mae. They didn't leave me a message, so I googled the number then the name of the company and found this site. Clearly a scam.

Green Tree Mortgage. They will call you if your mortgage payment is 5 days late, even if you have a 15 day grace period.

This number has called my home several times without leaving  a message.  Not sure what it is about.   I refuse to call them back.  Next time, I may just hit fax accept, and maybe they will stop calling me.   As one other person reported, it is ILLEGAL for them to contact anyone except you if it is regarding a debt.  According to the fair debt practices, they are not allowed to contact anyone but you.    I didn't get any information on the caller id except for the phone number.  Hope that this helps someone!

These guys must either be legit or they are good con artists.  they have two different phone numbers and a website.  i just had some issues very recently and now i'm paranoid as to what to believe.  they got my info right but who knows.  i'm dealing with sprint not these clowns.

Just received a call from this number.  Lady asked if I knew of  a particular neighbor at a particular address.  Of course I said no and she asked if I was sure.  I  said I was sure and she hung up

I get a call from this number pretty much every day. She says her name is Stacy and I'm pretty sure it's in regards to a debt my ex-husband has. She usually leaves a message, but I don't answer and don't call back. I think the unpaid bill he has got sent to a collection agency and they're trying to contact anyone in order to collect. At first, I was a little worried if they could come after me for something that was his responsibility. However, in the divorce decree, that debt is listed specifically for him, so hopefully not. I've thought about calling to explain all this, but then I decided that they would probably somehow make me liable for it, and I have had enough drama in that area! Can you imagine going to your job and calling someone every day who won't answer your call? I don't know if it's funny, or pathetic!

Last night I received a call on my cell phone from this number.  When I answered the woman rudely asked for Jim.  When I told her that she had the wrong number she freaked out on me and told me that she had spoken to him before on that number.  I told her that wasn`t possible.  She started screaming at me and telling me that it was indeed the correct number.  This went on for a little bit until got tired of it and hung up.  I I have had that number for over 5 years so the woman clearly had the wrong number.  This happened to me last year too.

Just got a call from this #210-366-4397 the lady was very rude!She was asking all kinds of personal questions about my husband they she brought up one of my sons names.I asked what this was about and she said you won't tell me anything so I won't answer your questions I'm like you called me.I said ok GOOD BYE!!  RUDE RUDE RUDE lady!!

They are a collection agencie for GMAC.

Brian Sims is the jerk who called me from this number. He was very disrespectful, rude, and unprofessional. This man insulted my mother as well as me. It’s no wonder why they never get any issues resolved. Who wants to work with an agency that that treat people so horribly from the word "hello".

brian sims called me as well making all sorts of threats i dont and will not deal with him. i was at work when he called he was so loud the customers thought something was going on. brian please dont ever call me again or threaten me i will call the better business bourough on you

Guy by the name of Kenneth Wallis continually spams my business line asking for "Yolanda." He represents a debt collection agency. Mr. Wallis has demonstrated that he's not the sharpest knife in the drawer. Not only does the voice mail message on our system identify us as a business, but on more than one occasion I have requested they remove my business number from their spam list; they have yet to comply. Kenneth Willis argued that "this is the number Yolanda left us." Mr. Willis apparently doesn't have the depth of wisdom to realize that Yolanda may have given him the wrong number. When I told Kenneth Wallis that I will be pursuing legal action if this harassment continues, he yelled, "You do what ya gotta do!" and hung up on me.

Thanks to all of you!  I was wondering who kept calling me from this number.  I'll be the first to admit I "scan" calls.  I have no problem returning calls, if a message is left, I just prefer to know who I am speaking to before the conversation begins.  They never leave a message.  I thought it was a telemarketer calling.

I got a call from this girl named melissa I think and she ask for my hsband and I ask what is this in regards to and she said no of my business. I then said to her yes it is this is my husband your call and asken for on my phone. Then she said I handle all his personal issue and I then said not you dont I do.
Then she said well ya I will try to find another way to talk to him. I said Ya try it. They are very rude and VER VERY UN PROFESONAL.

Yeah, this is definately a collection agency for GMAC.  I didn't recgonize the number because the one I usually call for them is an 800 number and I just got off the phone with them so it must have been them calling me back!

girl named  dee dee from this number  left message  to call her are 1 866 862 2788   then I looked it up here...  guess I wont  try  calling her  again  LOL

Got a call from these idiots.  The first thing Stacy asked me was if she had reached "____" address and she was looking for a person that lived nearby.  I asked who was calling, she said "Stacy".  I asked with what company and she said GC Services.  Told her to let me speak with her boss immediately.   A man (Dan Butts) came on the line saying he was the manager.  I asked him why they called me asking if I was at a certain address and why they were looking for someone that supposedly lived near there and he said they were trying to update their records.  I told him I was on the do not call list and he said repeated they were just updating records.  I told him I was going to report them to the Federal Trade Commission and never to call this number again.  Then I hung up.  

This is LOW...even for debt collectors!  Calling a neighbor out of the blue.  My neighbors don't have my phone number and most likely don't even know my last name!!!  There is NO WAY I could be connected with any of my neighbors as a contact or anything else.  This type of "embarrassment" tactic should be illegal!  They're just trying to embarrass people by dragging neighbors into the debt collection process.

I feel violated that they would track down my information so they could call me about someone else!!!  Very bogus!

Called and said that she was calling on behalf of Sprint / Nextel. That my company was referred to them, and we owe $6630. She had the company name kind of close, but not really.

I told her that my company has only been in business for 6 months, and that I would certainly know about something like that.

(BTW - My company is just my wife and I operating under an LLC out of our home. We don't even have Sprint / Nextel as personal phones)

I keep getting these calls from this # saying that I owe money on a reposessed vehicle that was last year. Yes I know that I still owe money on that, and besides I keep telling them that I dont have the money to pay for something I no longer have, he had told me to borrow money from friends or family or that I could file for bankrupcy. He also keeps calling my wifes cell # and he wont leave her alone about it. I am considering that if the phone calls dont come to a stop that i will press charges and be in touch with my local attorney generals office. this number comes up as 210-366-4397 and the guys name is Cory.

Got a call. Got a male that didn't introduce himself. He spoke my first name then repeated my first and second name. I hung up. ID said Operations Division.

I have been getting phone calls from 210-366-4397--Operations Division.  They never leave a message
but have called 5 times and we were not home either time.  I have used Reverse Lookup without success.
I would like to report them but don't know to whom.

I got a call from this number asking for my husband and they said they'd been trying to reach him. This was a message and I did not talk to them directly. The woman that left the message said her name was Joslin and could be reached at 866-862-2288 ext. 3702. I tried calling back and got nothing. No machine and not even a ring. They need to stop calling me.

This company keeps calling my house and every time I pick up they just stay quiet, look if they have something to say they have to do it, if not why even bother....

This company just called and I didn't even ask who it was...told the woman that it's after 9 pm and I don't appreciate the call and not to call at this time.  Was told "Oh my god ma'am, just take the message"  I hung up on her.    If it is a collections company,  I only owe one bill and that is a disputed claim from me cancelling Sprint wireless service I was paying for a contract they were not delivering phone service on.  Now being charged termination fee on phones we were forced to upgrade because of inadequate phone service and forced to pay on a lousy service.  Now we are being harrassed?

The company is getting smarter.....they are using more local phone #'s. The company is GC Services.  I get them all the time.  I have told them repeatively that I am filing a bankruptsy and they still dont get it that i am not going to pay them.....especially if you do ....the price will be jacked up as soon as you attempt to pay.......H*** NO!!!

This is a collection agency attempting to collect on a debt.  Some people here have mentioned they have received calls at their home phones for other people (neighbors, relatives, etc.)  They are asked to convey a message to their neighbor or relative.  The caller will not say what the message is about but since it's a debt collection agency, it's presumably about money that is owed.  

This is a tactic called "block party." Collections agents use it in order to pressure a person who may owe them money to return their calls. They cause their intended target to fear that their personal business is going to be revealed to family, friends and neighbors.  

The collection agency looks up the names and phone numbers of neighbors through the use of reverse phone directories and internet directories to see who is registered at a particular address.  That's how they contact the neighbors of the person they're trying to contact.

THIS IS ILLEGAL.  It's a violation of the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act.  Collectors can only call your neighbors if they don't know your "contact information" - home phone, home address, and place of employment.  If they're contacting your neighbors, then they have your current contact information.  They know where you live. They're choosing to use this tactic to embarrass and harass you.  

Under the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act, you can recover damages for this type of violation by the collection agency.

Someone just called from this company. They asked for me to give a message to some guy down the street. I refused and told him to call the police if it was an emergency. He really wanted me to go talk to a neighbor I do not even know. He knew my name, my address, very scary.

I believe wholeheartedly that I got scammed by this company. :(
I happened to have my phone forwarded to my cell phone for other reasons and they got me while I was at work. I was thinking that I just recieved a financial blessing. Boy was I wrong! Good thing I caught it in time and have a great bank (ING) to back me up!
