If this is att trying to bundle your phone and/or internet service with direct tv could it be they are trying to find a way to help pay for their huge $50 billion dollar buy out of direct tv? We get our tv programming for free using a $70 roku along with an antenna in the attic for local stations and don't need or want direct tv. There is more than enough to watch on the roku, netflix, hulu, etc.

Calling AT&T this week. Going to turn off our AT&T home phone service and get a verizon cell phone instead. Too many telemarketing calls from this and other numbers that apparently ATT cannot stop. Family members say they don't have that with a verizon cell phone.

Not ATT, just some scamming telemarketer. Used the #60 feature for any future attempts.

I've had several of these the past few weeks asking for my wife. We'll get these calls night and day. I just got another one from some foreign call center and requested that they quit calling me with sales calls as we're not interested. Actually, close ot the opposite as we're serioulsy considering dropping AT&T all together as everyone in the house already have cell phones and their rates keep jumping up.
Don't they pay attention to the DNC list?

Never, EVER, give out ANY information about yourself or your household over the phone or online!

Just don't answer calls from numbers you don't recognize. Your friends and relatives will leave messages accordingly.  Ignore calls/emails from those you don't know.  And don?t waste your time on ?do not call? lists and the like.  These lists have a bazillion loopholes, and the callers are scofflaws anyway; they couldn?t care less whether or not they?re breaking the law.

Only when we take the profit out of these calls will they stop!

Re:Sumguy, Be careful holding on the line to waste their time. Maybe not still, but several years ago a man called wrong # (ours) and politely offered to remove from his list while I waited. Next he told me he could use my # to make LD or 900 calls if I held long enough. I checked with phone Co. & they confirmed this was possible. After that, I quit offering to look up a local # when  mistake is made.

they are looking for somebody dummy so they can trap him or her .when they hear a good sound ,they hung up .you try it act like do not know English .or if your name shows newcomer in U.S.A . they call me four times a day .i let it go on my answering machine they never leave a massage .

I have received calls from this number on 3/3, 2/28, 2/19, 3/6 .  The one time I decided to answer. she ask if this was (my name)  I said yes and why are you calling me?  the lady on the other end said to "thank me for being and ATT customer."  I said well thank you and you have a nice day and hung up. I did it sort of fast and did not giver her a chance to say anything. I am sure my initial comment threw her off  and she was going to solicit me for something. I am sure I will get more calls.  I have caller id so if I choose to not answer most of the time.

They called and hung up on me twice, left a blank message once.  I have caller ID.  All 3 calls were from this number identified as ATT Service Center.  Fortunately, I also have call blocking and just added them to the list.

People, don't you get it?  The Do Not Call lists works for LEGITIMATE businesses. Calls like these, from scammers, won't stop because you are on that list. They are running illegal activities, so they are hardly going to be afraid of breaking one more law. Just use your caller ID and DON'T ANSWER.  If you have the ability to block the number then by all means do.

my wife talked to them. they were gonna upgrade her ipone for free.  all she had to do was give a credit card number to pay for shipping.  talked to att is a scam

Try calling the number back... you do get an ATT calling center automated answering queue.  

Best thing I did was use the ATT Call Blocking feature (*60) to just block this phone #.

They have been calling every 10-12 hours for the past 14 days.  I've been pushing TALK and END immediately.  Call Block works.

If you have AT&T service, dial *60 and follow the directions.

Did I say 13? How about 14 and counting. How many times do I have to not answer before they figure out I.m not going to?

Received 13 calls from this number since November 1, including 3 yesterday. As I have posted many times, that's what caller ID is for.

CALLS several times a day 210-570-1370 ATT Svc CENTER I just don't answer; ID caller picks up. Last call was 10-10-13 @ 12:28

No message; just phone ringing and hang up

Calls twice a day.
I use a Digitone Call Blocker and only hear one ring and machine hangs up on them.
Tired of clearing Blocked Caller Log on Digitone Call Blocker so I also added to AT&T blocked numbers (*60).

The ID says ATT SVC CNTR.  I don't believe it.  Weird that they call all the time.  Weird that it does not say AT&T.  Weird that everyone reports static.  Don't you think if it were AT&T, that they would know how to connect the phones without static?

Information on their website says the FCC have shut down several of these

This phone number calls my phone at least 3 times a day.  It is the most annoying call.  I answered once and told them to stop and they hung up on me.  It's really sad that a company like ATT resorts to these kinds of tactics when they are already such a huge company.  Shame on them!

I have already called their customer service about it.  They were pretty nice by said that they weren't sure about it.
The connected me with their Fraud Department.  The lady that I talked to was an absolute Bi***.  Acted like she didn't have time to mess with me and the petty issue.  I call back customer service and complained about my legitimate request to find out if these calls were from Att or a scam.  They took my complaint but didn't act overly charged up about it.  I have repeatedly told the call to cease but after a few weeks,  the calls start again.   So if anyone can get any information out of them,  please post it so that others can know.

I have att caller id so I know who may be calling. I do not want to bundle or anything else than what I already have from att so I do not answer them. thank you att caller ID

The ringer on my phone is permanently turned Off due to this garbage. I have a different phone that is not available to the leeches. They won't stop calling, and I say oh well, I won't ever answer either.
