I received a call from a Jason at the James Montgomery law office the number I was asked to call back within 24 hours was 210-764-9894 along with a reference number. I called the number and the recording ask for my name so google search can look me up then says James Montgomery was not available. All seems like a scam to me.

I too just recieved a call from "Jason" with LEGAL SUPPORT SERVICES who referenced my name along with my maiden name.  He said that the call was in reference to my current home and a house that I rented over 8 years ago.  This "Jason" guy said that I needed to contact the offices of James Montgomery who is handling this case to discuss the concerns with the legal address indicated and that I was required to call back other wise decisions would be made on my behalf.  He ended the call by saying "this call is being logged at 11:51am on May 04, 2012.  I have tried to call back the number indicated (210-764-9801) and the answering maching picks up stating that James Montgomery is either with a client  or out of the office to please leave my name and number.  

Does anyone know if this is a scam?  Please advise.

Got a call similar to those reported (from a blocked number), saying that I owed money to a credit card company and that they were suing me for a claim against my properties. Both the properties they listed are apartments and one of them isn't even in my name. They left a number for the supposed office of James Montgomery (210-764-9801) and advised me to call. When I called the number Mr Montgomery was "not in the office".  I looked up the Law office of James Montgomery and called them, and got a return call from Mr Montgomery saying that he does not do debt collections and was not associated with the people that called me. This is very likely a scam.

I received a call from this same person and to me to call 210-764-9801.i called and got a answering machine and received a call back the next day stating that i was being taken to court by something i didnt even know about. And also was told that they tried ti serve me papers but there was no one at this address. Then he threatened me stating they were gonna garnish my wages. I hung up on him and the next they call im going to the police

Received a call from somebody from 210-764-9801 that said they have tried to serve me legal papers but nobody was home.  Told me to call the Law Offices of James Montgomery, when I called it said Sternberg & Associates office of James Montgomery.  Still don't know what this is about.

I just received a call from a guy didn't give a name but left a number of 210-764-9801 and said to contact James Montgomery also left a case Id number, Also mentioned I could be in some serious trouble about a home I have in my name. Which I don't. KC did you call back if so did the info sound familiar.

I received a call from someone Named Matthew (blocked number) stating he wanted to serve me legal papers at my place of business and gave me this number & the name of James Montgomery. He said I could call this James person to see what the legal papers were about. I haven't called & probably won't. He also said he didn't have a residence address to serve me at.

I got a voice mail message from this number regarding claims on a couple of addresses "in my name" and was given the same time to respond back or decision will be made for me. Funny thing is, those addresses are for apartment complexes that I no longer live at. I am sure my landlord would just LOVE to deal with these guys ha ha.

Area residents have gotten several calls from this number claiming that the would-be target has a "claim" against his or her property. The calls are threatening calls, the would-be victim is given 24 hours to respond, and then the caller trails off into mumbles.
